Puka is Being Adopted

I can't believe it's real!  Dear wonderful Puka (nee "Spook"), love of my life, has found a furever home in Pittsburgh, PA with a loving family with 2 kids (she absolutely loves her kids) and 2 Boston terrier siblings.  I know it will be a great life for them all, but I am also so very sad to lose her.

Puka has such personality - what a kooky, odd, quirky little girl.  She is a big collector of things, and makes a big daily collection in the den on a daily basis of things she likes from around the house.  Please wish her and her transport team safe travels home tomorrow.  I don't know how I'll be after I drop her and all her things tomorrow morning...  I haven't yet let a foster get out of my daily reach....

Denice, Jackson, NJ

Yea Puka!!  Congratulations!  Safe trip, behave and keep up that quirky personality!
(And don't forget momma Denice!)  Happy tears, feel good tears the best kind to have! God bless you and all you have done for this precious girl!

I'm so happy for Puka-bear it will be sad for you but just think of all of the fun she will have in her forever home with her great new family.

Charlie Has a New Home

After a few twists, turns and bumps in the road, Charlie has a home. This applicant worked a few things out and Charlie will be delivered to Gaithersburg, MD this weekend. The husband and I will deliver him lovingly, spend time giving the new owners some handling tips, make sure Charlie is at ease, stay over night in MD then return to CT the next day. I never doubted the love Janine Seber has for Charlie. Proud of this 24 yr old young woman. Young but a force to be dealt with, already her and her boyfriend are pharmacists. I know we have not heard the last of this amazing couple!  So happy for Charlie!

I told Charlie the good news and began the good-bye kisses!

Maria Pastuszak

Thank you Maria for all that you have done for Charlie! We are so happy for him!

Joey is doing well. He really hasn't made a sound. He is eating well. Got a nice bath. He hasn't met the crest of the gang face to face yet. But seems fine through the gate.

Another Roxy selfie. I do believe she likes the camera. What do you think?

She likes to strike a pose, for sure.  What a sweet face!  She certainly is photogenic!

New Foster Joey is Here!

Long day of work,  birthday stuff and dog transport. I'm pooped. Joey is resting fine in his crate. We are having some bad storms right now. I'm not sure he can hear. But time will tell. He needs a good scrubbing to get the shelter stink off. More to come on him.

Update on McCoy

Hi all! Quick update: McCoy is fully integrated into my pack now, and is learning boundaries from them very quickly. Louie does not like to be pounced upon, and Howie does not appreciate attempted kibble theft.
He has learned to "sit" on command, has made lots of progress on "down", and is MUCH better walking on a leash.  He enjoys playing with Howie, and doesn't mind my cats at all :)

His skin is looking much better , and he is filling out nicely on three meals a day. He still has a bit of a cough, but that's to be expected. We are getting there!

Fabulous to hear this, Erin!!!

New Foster Lily Update

Lilly is doing great! Every day she comes out of her shell more and more. She is still sweet as sugar and loves hugs and kisses. She celebrates by spinning in circles when I get home and, like a true Boston, likes to cuddle.

The introduction to my 2 boxers went well. She was so happy to meet them and being upstairs in the house, she couldn't contain her self. I slept with her last night, but got little sleep as she snores a lot!

Although she will go outside in the yard, she has no issue going in the house and marking all over like a boy! She obviously has a ways to go with house training.

Her 1st vet appt is next Sat. Other than the cherry eye and a sore back leg, she seems in pretty good shape. Fingers crossed.

Myrtle in Her Temporary Home

I went today to pull Myrtle from the Burlington County Animal Shelter, and what a sad sight she is!  This poor little girl is missing most of her fur, has scabs all over and both ears are severely infected and she scratches non stop-but besides all of this, she is as sweet as pie!  I took her outside when we got home, and all she wanted to do was being in my lap, and she stares right into your eyes-she really wants to be loved.  Apparently she was surrendered by her owner who had stage 4 cancer and was just unable to care for this poor, sweet thing.

She will be with me through the weekend, and then Chris Cassner will be taking care of her and nursing her back to health.  Here are a few pics of sweet Myrtle-notice my BT's behind the gate wanting to play with her!

What a sweet little thing!  Can't wait to see her transformation!

New Foster Myrtle

We would like you to meet our newest foster girl, sweet little Myrtle. She is only 5 years old and was surrendered to an animal shelter. She obviously has lots of problems that need to be addressed. Her owner did not neglect her but sadly they had a terminal illness and was no longer to help fight for this little girl…so we need your help to fight for her! Not only is she physically suffering but she is now adjusting to a new environment and away from the only home she’s known.
The shelter contacted Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue because they had hoped we would be able to quickly get her into a quiet foster home that would be able to immediately work on her health issues. She also needed a calm and loving environment to help her battered body begin to heal. Obviously she is in very bad shape and needs some MAJOR care to bring her body to match the beauty of her soul. So far it has been determined she has severe allergies and high grade heart murmur but we are sure that is just the beginning of the medical list.
We have a phenomenal foster home where Myrtle will receive all the care, love and support she will need to begin the fight for her life. Now we need your help to make sure this little girl can receive the medical treatment she needs and deserves. She is in the best hands and if we can save this girl, we’ll do whatever it takes.

Wade is Adopted

Wade went home today with the Enders family. A wonderful family with a fenced yard and someone
home all the time. He gets to sleep in a PEOPLE bed now! His new family
bought him all new EVERYTHING! New harness, bowls, toys, leash, bones,
food, treats. Wade will want for nothing, and especially he will never
want for companionship and love.

Wade is gone, he's missed, but he's where he belongs, and it was heart
warming to watch him blend right in with his new family.

Chris Cassner

Great job Erin & Chris!!! So glad that the handsome gentleman Wade is going to be forever loved in his new perfect home!!
