Frodo the Boston Terrier is Adopted

Frodo may be a choco lab/pit mix but as of now he is a boston terrier and he will be joining the Pastuszak Family as a permanent member. I placed an ad in my local paper and when the family read the ad I actually had tears from my 6ft 240 pound husband. I told my hubby he's not a boston. My husband replied with, he is now! He is the most gentle loving dog that has ever entered our door. Good with kids, cats, dogs and gentle as a lamb. He and my Gizmo aka Gizzard played like besties from day one. He is recovery from his illnesses, he's a keeper for sure!

Well that's fantastic, Maria!
Congratulations on the new family member!  :)

Update on Frodo

Below is an awesome updates I got from Miriam and Leonard Bisk. They adopted Frodo aka Frody Ody who was one of three mill puppies(Bizzy and Mitzy are the other 2)

"Dear Lisa
What we haven't mention to you is, we have NO
PROBLEMS kissing his head!!!!
He is the smartest dog we ever had, one month after
arrival he is fully trained to do his things out doors and letting us know he
wants to be let out (wining with a sweet voice) . He can be "busy" playing with
his toys for hours, and also "guarding the yard" watching the birds, squirrels
and deer with much interest. When outside, he is sure he can climb a tree after
the sneaky squirrels, fly and catch every bird passing by, or beating the deer
in a race to nowhere...He is that funny and yet hasn't figured out that these
aren't dogs....He is eating only human food- no dog food after we read the book
of Dr. Martin Goldstein " The Nature of Animal Healing"...I haven't been
frightened and nauseated more after reading this one...
If an Omelet is good for us, it's good for Frodo!!!

This little one sleeps all night and will not get
out of his bed (no Cage) if I am still in bed....(Miriam) doesn't snore and is
the most gentle company we ever had. We love him to death!!!
He is a gem!
Thanks for all you have given him for 3 months.
Happy New Year
Miriam"

Update on Bizzy and Frodo

Both dogs are doing really really good. Heres some update info!

Frodo

Frodo is doing excellent with leash training and is making progress with potty training as well. He is like a little puppy, he plays for an hour or two and then just passes out for a quick nap before he starts playing again. Even with his bad dental disease he loves chewing on nylabones.

He went with us this weekend to Paws for a Cause and was complimented on how handsome he was. He found a boston girlfriend there that he liked too!

He is a little bit of a scaredy cat, anything sudden and he will let out a scared yelp. He got in trouble this weekend for picking on the cat; it wasn't all him though, my other 2 Bostons joined in as well.

He does not like to be given kisses. He will give you kisses for hours but he does not like it if you try to kiss him anywhere but his mouth. This is a little tough to take since his breath is so stinky! It would be nice to give him kisses but he quickly pulls away if you get anywhere near his head with your lips.

Overall, he is really doing great! He's even getting better with his jumping.

Bizzy
Bizzy cracks me up. She makes the best faces. She has a LOVE of playing fetch with her favorite toy, a frog. She is so good, she drops the frog for you right away so that you can throw it again. She will play fetch for hoooouuuurrrrrrssss. Her knee doesnt seem to bother her while she plays.. The only problem she has is when she hits the tile floor. Sometimes she loses her grip and goes sliding.

We noticed something with her tongue while playing fetch with her. She is missing some of it. Its hard to catch but there's def something missing. She is missing a piece of her tongue on the right side at the tip. Its slightly smaller than the size of a dime.

She is a little slower at learning potty training and walking on the leash but she is making progress. Unfortunately she didnt get to go to Paws for a Cause since she only likes Frodo, no one else. She loves people though! She gets so so so so so excited when she sees you and her whole body shakes. She is really a great little girl!

New Fosters Frodo and Busy

I would like to introduce Frodo and Busy(Bizzy)!!!!! Her name was Bugsy, but that is not a name fit for a princess so we have changed it. Frodo is the skinnier one in the pictures; he's black and white. Busy is brindle and white with one blue eye.

These 2 little BT's came from a kennel in Eastern Pa. The woman says she gets her puppies from breeders but looks like these guys might have been doing some breeding themselves. Both were scared leaving the kennel but are happy as clams now!

Frodo is 4 yrs old. He is 20 lbs and SWEET AS PIE! Frodo came with a ton of fleas and quite a stink. He is now flea free and smelling sweet! He is overall healthy except for his teeth. He will need a teeth cleaning and probably at least 2 teeth pulled. He also has splayed feet. Frodo is great with all kinds of dogs but no cats. He is quite a jumper so will need to go to a home with no children. Should be an easy adoption for him!

Busy is also 4 yrs old. Supposedly they are brother and sister, but I don't see any resemblance. She is 22 lbs and also a complete sweetie, she is quite the wiggle but. She gets SO happy when she sees you. According to the vet she has a grade 3 luxating patella. She also had fleas and was quite stinky. She had one of the largest fleas the vet had ever seen! She would probably be best as an only dog. She will probably be able to go to a house with dog savvy cats though. We don't have any children, but she seems like she would be good with them.
