Adoptable Pups Wishlist! PATSY & GIDGET
Please help me in welcoming new fosters Patsy and Gidget, who were both lovingly taken in by one of our wonderful foster moms, Melanie.
Gidget is 13 years old, but certainly doesn't act her age! She loves playing with toys and chewing, so she put a few choice items on the list.
Patsy is a smaller girl and has not known a lot of care in her life. She is super cute as you can see, and Melanie says she makes a scrunched up little face when she gets excited. She did not come to foster care with anything - not even a leash.
Let's show these girls some love and support... they will be adoptable soon!!

Gus After a Week in His Foster Home
After a little scare last week,Gus is doing great
He is such a beautiful boy.
He gets along with his Foster brother. He loves his one foster bro Mr B a little too much. ;). He really could do without little foster sister Penny.
He is a sweet boy. I'm still trying to learn his language. He talks a lot. Lol. It means a range of things. I want a blanket, let me out, I want to held etc.
He gives kisses. He does great at night in his kennel. We had him on the weekend in our bed and he loved it.
He loves playing ball and kills them Lol. As you can see below he is not ashamed of his deed.
He is fully housebroken. Really a dream.
I found a second bump on him. He has to have the one on his chest removed anyway. Since he has recovered well from his surgery I assume we will try again soon.

Maeby and Her Prayer Blanket
My daughter Holli took this picture a few minutes ago. Maeby is on her blanket that was sent to her via NEBTR. It was made by the volunteers of FABB (Fur Angel Blessing Blanketeers.
I
want to thank the volunteers for their time and love that when into
making this blanket so Maeby can enjoy what time she has more
comfortable.
Sincerely,
Tammy and Holli Trivelpiece
Sully Is Looking for a Home
Sully is just about ready for a home! He is shy when meeting
people so we are working on socialization and would be best continued in
his new home. He is a Boston Terrier mix, his father is a Boston, he
currently weighs 27lbs. He really is a GREAT boy! At 6 months old, he
is completely house broken and crate trained. He will go to the door
when he wants out and even ring a bell. He is looking for a home with no
kids. But would like a home with another dog that could be his
playmate. He is also ok with cats. He seems very smart and is food
motivated which makes for easy training. Oh and he's super cute! :)
Sully is being fostered in the Pittsburgh PA area.

New Foster Yoda
Yoda is a five year old well adjusted boy who is
already neutered, knows a lot of commands and tricks, is crate trained
and is really calm and quiet. He does need a little work potty
training, but I believe it is just due to lack of consistency and he
will learn really quickly. He loves to explore the yard and curl up on
the sofa next to us and is super curious about the other 4 dogs we
have. He is reported to have lived with dogs previously, so guessing he
will get along with them. He seems to really like the car too, he
jumped right up in it yesterday when I had the doors open and he didn't
want to come out. He hasn't gotten into anything he shouldn't and he
knows what toys are his-so
he is pretty much a fantastic dog!
Here are some pics of him I took over the past few days, his grumpy face one is my favorite :)

Zeke's Progress
Hello,
Zeke is an amazing little boy for a puppy mill dog. He is functioning very well with just his right eye and the swelling around the left eye, which was removed on April 10th, is about down to normal. He is a very happy boy and loves going outside and lying in the sun. He goes into his kennel all by himself whenever he wants to nap. I leave the door open so he can go in and out when he wants to. If I have to go out and when I go to bed, he needs some coaxing but he does go in easily.
And the biggest thing of all …… HE GOES OUTSIDE TO POTTY!!! He has not had an “accident” in the house in about 1 week now. He does still have a belly band on when he is in the house. When he is done going outside he comes running to me hopping around very proud of himself. He has also learned “come here”, “sit” and “off”. He learns very quickly and seems to enjoy our little sessions which I keep to about 10 to 15 minutes. Zeke is also learning patience. He started out trying to get my pets food and treats. He has learned to wait his turn. Sometimes he will attempt to grab but one look from me and he stops. This Friday he gets his cone off and then I will schedule his neuter and dental work. All in all I am very pleased with his progress.
Regards,
Sandy
Sandy, what a great update! It sounds like he's settling in very nicely, learning some things and feeling pretty good. Thanks so much for taking such good care of him.
Vegas Says Thanks for the Easter Basket
We are so sorry for the delayed thank you. Vegas received his basket as we were on our way out the door for vacation and things were a bit hectic. But I did take a picture!!

Chili and Pepper are Adopted
Chili and Pepper went to their forever home today! They will be living a very spoiled life in Sound Beach. It's just them and their mom, Gayle, so they will be showered with lots of love and attention. They only live a short walk from the beach, so now their summer will be spent lounging on the beach and soaking in the sun. Here some pictures of them with their new mom and at their new home. Look at that big smile on Chili's face!!

Waffles Goes for a Visit
My parents ended up watching Waffles while her foster parents are
away so I get to see her again! She was so excited to see me and Jeff!
For
those that don't know, I fostered Waffles for 2 months and she was
moved to another foster home because she was still after my cats :(
She's doing great at my parent's house! They have no pets so she is enjoying being Queen of the castle!

Welcome New Foster Charlie
Good morning! As you can see, Charlie is here!!!! Kim picked her up
yesterday. Her owner was terribly upset that she had to surrender her,
but she knew that it was the best solution for Charlie. She seems to be
adjusting well. The gang has accepted her very nicely~as she has no
desire to be the alpha dog. Pangya and Lily have even shared their
beloved and treasured tennis balls with her!!!!!
I will keep everyone posted. Very sweet, amazing blue eyes, all in all seems to be a great pup.
Evette and Kim Heinle
Welcome Charlie....Thank you Evette and Kim for caring for her.

Vegas Loves His Car Rides
This fella loves, loves, loves car rides! He is so smart that he cries when we arrive home. Of course I am hoping that it's due to the excitement of returning home, not sadness that the car ride is over - haha!!

Chief Charlie Update
Chief Charlie is
quite smart and quickly learned which door we use to go to the fenced yard,
where the gate is to go for a walk, and other small things.
He came to us with a little stuffed bed which he loves. We were told that he pulls the stuffing out and
that he did for the first 4 days here. That
kept me busy stuffing it back in every night.
That seems to have passed for now so that may have been anxiety.
Today is “exposure day” and since the weather looks good, a
little walk for Chief with the other two residents will be an adventure to see
how things are going. We’ve been very
cautious on the integration with the two spoiled residents and this test will
be very important. Chief, on the other
hand, wants integration now. This is day
eight and Saturday so we weren’t on the weekday routine. Chief was gated in the dining room where I
work during the week while everyone was in the living area. He has a crate in there as well as his water
and food bowl. Everyone was gnawing on kong
bones with some “dog easy cheese” (well the dogs were, not us) when the obvious
sound of dog paws landing on the kitchen floor brought me to my feet. Into the living area pranced Chief! We now know that the 3 foot gate will not
keep him sequestered unless someone is there with him. Even with the two
residents in the room, there were no incidents.
They were shocked to see him though. Chief was reluctantly secured in
the living room crate just to insure continued peace in the kingdom and with
sun shining here in western Pennsylvania, we are looking forward to the afternoon
walk.

they went” – Will Rogers

Awesome update!! Chief sounds like a real character. Looking forward to hearing more about him!!

Patsy is Loving Life
Patsy is loving life! She loves going to the dog park & is great with the other dogs as long as they don't chase her (scares her a bit).

Check Out Vegas
Vegas is very photogenic. At first he did not like the weird boxy looking device that was held up towards him. Now he likes to strike a pose. Looking good for 10 yrs old.
Check this beautiful guy out!!
