Happy Gotcha Day Jaxx
Jaxx, the foster that never left. He's been here 2 years and we have started
to notice that all the serious creases around his eyes are gone - ah
resilience! (and yes, that's his happy face)... He will be 11 next month
and he is just looking fabulous. Love him to pieces. Happy second Gotcha Day, boy.

Update on Zeke
I got a wonderful surprise today when Curt Brand called me to let me know how Zeke is doing. If you remember he was my Puppy Mill boy who had no social skills and did not even know how to play. Curt told me that their other 2 dogs have taught him how to play and he is having a ball. They call him “Mac” now and they just love him and he is fitting in with their other 2 beautifully. I
am so happy for him and my heart just wants to burst. Thank you Curt, for the call. It made my day!

That's just fabulous Sandy, thanks for sharing.
BooBoo Is Adopted
Hi! Christine Manzella here. I am so happy (and sad too..) to let you all know that Booboo (now Boo), got adopted Saturday by the wonderful Kohlhepp family in NJ!!
He has a new human sister, Madison, who just adores him! I was so sad to see him go, but know he will be getting lots of love and attention from Jean and Mike. And of course from Madison.
.I got this update Sunday morning:
"He did great last night. Slept until almost 8 am which I right around the time I get up anyway .
He's funny when I walk him. I think he has marked every pole in a 1/2 mile radius lol. "
So I can feel confident in that he is adjusting to his new family very well.
THANKS to Vicki Cuneo and to Straussie, all help and advice was greatly appreciated!!.
On a side note, how long till I stop calling his name when calling all the dogs?? Sigh**
Here are some pics from Boo's adoption and at his new foster home. Still getting save reviews from his new mommy.
Still miss him though.....
Christine
Thanks to Denice Schnaak
Look
what our NEBTR volunteer, foster mom, app liaison, transporter (and I'm
sure I'm forgetting all the other things she does) sent to us for our
foster packages! She found a great sale and couldn't resist buying them
all up for our rescues and their foster families!! We have gourmet
treats AND grain free treats!
Denice
was the volunteer who also got us a huge supply of Nylabones that
lasted for well over a year for our new foster packages. (so everyone
reading this who has received a foster package with a Nylabone, Denice
had the in on that donation from Nylabone!)
Thank you so much Denice and family. This is really appreciated!!!

Rosie Goes to the Rainbow Bridge
Jill Charles's very first foster with NEBTR, Miss Rosie, has gone
to the bridge. Rosie was especially loved by Jill's son Aidan. She slept with him every night.
Our sympathy too to Rosie's forever mom Ana Isabel Lorenzo and her Dad. Rosie had the best home any one could ask for. Rosie and her sister Chloe were lucky girls. Thank you Ana for being so awesome! We will all miss her dearly.
So sorry to hear of your loss Ana Isabel. Rosie was loved and she knew it. Thank you for giving her a second chance. Rest in peace sweet, Rosie... - Joyce

Rocky V Faces Another Challenge
We have learned that our unlucky boy Rocky V has Cushings Disease. You may remember that Rocky was surrendered after puncturing his eye. After a successful graft, he developed a fast moving infection in his other eye which caused him to lose it. His vision in the remaining eye with the graft allows him to see only light and dark. Rocky lost his best friend earlier this year and has been trying to maneuver without his help. Now this. We are hoping that Rocky can overcome this latest obstacle.

Forever Foster Wishlist! PATTI
Hello friends and fans, Patti here. I am a 13-year-old "golden girl" who is loving my new life with my foster mom Amanda. I came to her with absolutely nothing to call my own... after such a long life, you'd think I would have something - but I don't. That's okay, sometimes it's better to start fresh!
I will most likely live here for the rest of my days instead of being adopted, because I have bilateral cataracts and a stage two heart murmur. My foster mom says you would never believe I'm 13, and I love playing with toys!!!
Even though I am not up for adoption, you can help me by sending me something I need fro my wishlist! I would be so grateful.
Kisses to everyone!

Can you guess what her favorite toy is?

Update on WIlbur, and He Says Thanks
Wilbur received a Welcome Package from a generous donor last
week. Due to some technical difficulties, I am not able to send
pictures. Thank you so much for your love and kindness towards our
precious fosters. It is so, so appreciated!
I took Wilbur to the vet last week and he had some serious issues
with his eyes. We knew he was blind but he also has Glaucoma and his
eyes were extremely red. He is on three different eye drops. His eyes
are already looking so much better.
The vet
also found a sore on his upper gum. When I take him back for his eyes
they will check into the mouth. Hopefully it is nothing serious.
He
is such a sweet & gentle love bug. He is settling in well and gets
around really good. I think he will be a wonderful companion for
someone and gets along great with other dogs. He is also very smart!

Photos of WInston and Daisy
Just wanted to check in and share some pictures of Winston
and Daisy and let everyone know they're doing great! Winston celebrated
his 12th birthday on Wednesday, but still acts like he's two and Miss
Daisy is still running the house as the Queen B. Lol gotta love these
two! ♡
There's a picture of Miss Daisy being a little vein, but who could blame her? She's gorgeous. I also attached a silly pic of Winston celebrating his birthday, Daisy acting like a dork. And
also a picture of daisy, Winston & my miss piggy "synchronized
sleeping." LolCourtney Kautz
Update on Jack, Formerly Fritz
This is Jack (Fritz), who we adopted two years ago from NEBTR. With patience and consistency he is a sweet and loving dog.
