Jasper Coesn't Want To Get Up

Jasper is questioning my sanity this morning. Why get out of bed? Is it really morning at the mama? Do I have to go outside? Are you aware it's raining mama?

Sunny had a vet checkup yesterday. He is 29.6 lbs and around 7 years old. His skin condition is healing nicely and vet feels his hair should completely grow back. Not having complete health history, its hard to say without further testing to see if it was food allergy , bad diet, or environmental. He does have some moderate tartar and a tooth fracture. But nothing major that she can see. They will investigate more when he goes in for his neuter appointment.

Heart sounded great. No murmur. Blood panel also looked great. No heartworm. Does have roundworm which they treated him for. No l axating patella which is also great news. She did notice the beginnings of cataracts in both eyes. Minor at the moment though.

They will not do his neuter till 3 days after he finishes his 21 day cycle of prednisone. As of now it is scheduled for after Thanksgiving, on the 27th. He will then have a 1-2 week recovery with me and if all goes well, no complications, he will be ready for adoption second or third week of December.

HOW GREAT WOULD IT BE FOR SUNNY TO BE IN HIS FOREVER HOME FOR CHRISTMAS??!!

He is a very fun loving and playful boy. Loves to play and hop around like a deer! I hope you all saw the 2 videos I posted of him playing outside with my resident dogs Daisy and Marty.

He will sleep with you if you want him to. He slept in my daughter's bed last night with Marty too! He is no doubt in my mind going to make a great family pet.

I am currently working on his Amazon wish list. As he does need a few things as he came with nothing.

Babe, Now Frankie, With His Forever Sister

I still think about this little boy. Puppies are great when they come and great when they go but boy do they leave footprints on your heart. Less than 10 days ago he was adopted. This is him laying on top of his sister. Could it be any better than this? He looks so content.

Petco National Adoption Event

Thanks to Judy Liu and Kimberly for representing NEBTR at the Port Chester Petco. She was accompanied by her BT Kai, who was the mascot. He was a real trooper and hung in there for the whole time, keeping Judy company. She should be a very proud mom!

Judy's set up looked beautiful! Thank you for working so hard to create a firm relationship with Port Chester Petco. Hopefully it will pay off!

Judy writes, "I wanted to give a quick thank you to all who offered to help out with the weekend event. And especially an extra extra big thank you to Kimberly who came with Willy to show support. I had a few families who expressed interest in being foster homes - so fingers crossed :).

No new dates yet - but until next time!"

Welcome new foster Sunny! He is adorable - he runs and hops like a deer.

Gave him a bath.... Didn't mind it at all. He is settled in very nicely. Not a peep out of him, except his low snore. Lol. He was following my daughter everywhere and even spent time in her room.

He was very good in the car. Slept in the crate pretty much the whole way.

He is a sweet soul and I have no doubt will be snatched up quickly!

Today Sarah received this beautiful sweater in the mail, but unfortunately there was no card indicating who it was from. She wants to send a big thank you out to whoever it was. It will be just right for this winter weather we are about to experience. Again, Thank you so much for thinking of her. She really needs some good winter clothes as her own coat is rather thin.

This afternoon, we received a large care package for Fred!! He received a new collar, lots of new toys, a harness for walks, and some treats!!! Happy Gotcha Day Babe, Now Frankie

Well, it was only 16 days, but when a 4 mth old puppy comes in almost perfect, there's no reason he can't find a forever home quickly. Babe, now Frankie, has a perfect family and an 11 month old sister Finley.

That was pretty hard to let him go, but my guys are 8,9 and 11 and they were too old for him - he needed to play!!!

Although I miss his sweet face, I do not miss taking him out every 45 mins - that boy could whiz!! He did learn potty outside, steps - up and down, how to dig little holes and eat dirt (not sure what that was all about but my Josie insisted on showing him her secret...) and sleeping in his crate. He was a good boy!
