Big News for Scout

Big news for a little dog. Scout's splint was slipping down, so I
called the vet to say it was slipping, and they told me to bring him in
right way today. Since he was scheduled for x-rays tomorrow, they did
them today instead. It was a scary wait in the examining room while
Scout was getting his leg x-rayed. The vet came back and told me that
there had been significant healing since they took the first x-ray, and
he should be able to heal the rest of the way without a splint. No
running, jumping, stairs, or rough dog play yet.
His joints and tendons have not been used in a very long time. He's
limping on it most of the time (we've only been back for an hour), but
when he does put his weight on it, that kink that was there, where the
break was, is gone. Prognosis is after 3 weeks he will be fit as a
fiddle, and he will FINALLY get to play with the other dogs in his
foster home!

I'll attach some before and after photos here. His leg has some ouchies
where the tape was removed, but that will heal up in no time. :)
I had him titered and checked for hw today while we were there.

Scout is Back From the Vet

Scout is back from the vet.  Now it's time for him to learn "heal."  ;-)

OMG, he has to be one of the cutest little guys I've ever seen!  I'm so glad you have him, Chris.  - Joy

Welcome New Foster Scout

Please welcome Scout to NEBTR.
He is more Chi than BT, but he's a full 6 pounds of sweetness, and only 10 months old.  I picked him up last night in what I refer to as the "forbidden zone" in the mountains east of Pittsburgh, PA.
The vetting he received previously was not effective, and I kept listening for a "SNAP" sound the whole way home.  He's scheduled for surgery.  I've created a widget for him on the NEBTR vetting page.  If you can share it with friends that would be wonderful.  The direct link to Scout is:  http://myfundit.com/site/myfundit/pages/d170
The link to the vetting page where you can find all of the dogs with bills that need paid is:  http://nebtr.tk/

Here are some photos of Scout.  I'll have more when I get him back from the surgery.
