Daisy Mae Goes to the Rainbow Bridge

Hi everyone,

It is with great sadness to report that our sweet Miss Daisy Mae crossed the rainbow bridge last night.  She truly did steal my heart as well as my husbands.  She became lethargic last night so my husband and I rushed her to the emergency vet where they had noticed a large mass tumor located off of her kidney causing internal bleeding. She wasn't responding to us and couldn't walk or keep her head up so we knew, along with the recommendation of the vet at that point it would only be selfish to keep her alive.  We let her pass in my arms as we told her we loved her and we hoped that we gave her one last year of life that she could never forget.  We are truly going to miss out spunky senior.  We know she stole our heart along with many others.

Thank you,
Courtney & Joe Kautz
Foster parents to Winston and Daisy Mae

I attached my favorite photo of her from her 13th birthday this year ♡
So sorry to hear this news.  :(  She was a lucky girl, to have the two of you by her side.

Oh Courtney I'm so sorry to hear about sweet Daisy Mae.  I loved seeing and hearing about what she and Winston were getting up to.  Thank you for giving her a loving home to feel safe for the time she had with you.  RIP sweet girl.

Abby Wants the Weekend to Continue

This is a pic of my former foster Abby trying to convince her mom to quit working & go back to the weekend early on Friday.

I can't say I blame her :-)

Molly is Adopted

We have a great home for her with no other pets, she'll be going to Webster NY to the Paesch Family. They are head over heels in love already we just completed her Wellness Exam.

Thank you for all you have done for Molly, Maria, and thank you for finding the perfect home for her!

New Foster Hercules

Hercules came to live with me this past Saturday, 200 mile round trip to collect him from his owner, who is getting a divorce.  He was very happy and excited to come with me, rode beautifully in the car.

He's a gentle giant, 32 lbs, 11 years old.  Hercules is a sweet boy, good natured, loving, easy going, friendly with kids and adults, housebroken, and a non-barker except when you put him in a crate. Hercules' former family had very young children so he is used to being and playing with them.

He and my Abigail enjoy playing and going for walks together, she's even willing to share some of her toys with him.  They have fun chasing each other throughout the condo, but his preference is to stay with me all the time: tripping hazard LOL.   My Abigail was so happy having her home to herself, but she's promised to be kind while sharing her home with a fellow BT, since she was saved also. Such is life in the world of BT rescue.

He will make a wonderful companion for a deserving family.
