Otis Wins a Contest
I wanted to stop by and share a little story about our Otis. Some of you may remember him - he's a Boston mix we fostered last year. He completely stole my heart and never left. Anyway, he's a mix of Boston and "something" but regardless, they're all bully breeds and he's often referred to as a Pitbull/Pocket Pitbull.
Yesterday I saw a contest on Handsome Dan Rescue (Dan is one of the Vicktory dogs) for a Pitbull awareness photo winner so I found the cutest picture I could of Otis and sent it in. Well guess what - my boy won! So please take a stroll over to Handsome Dan's page and show him some love! Here's the link:

Kind Regards,
Sarah
He looks very happy, and I bet you have a big smile on your face as well.
Congratulations on the win! :)

Former Foster Otis - Update
When the shelter listed Otis, they said he should not be in a house with children but 3 months into living with his forever family, we think he did amazing well. But we will let you be the judge.

Otis Says Thanks for His Gifts
Thank you so much for the fun chewie items you sent to Otis - what are they (the stick type) - they're a HUGE hit!
I took a few pictures - it's hard to capture him - he's a bit of a ball of energy but you'll get the idea!
Thank you so much, that was so incredibly nice of you.
Warmly,
Sarah and Otis

Study of Scout and Otis
A series by Scout and Otis.
This is the new normal - where there is Scout there is Otis. They have become quite close :-)
The two of them are hysterical together - Otis is the ying to Scouts yang - she is a little on the old and cranky side and he is young and spunky - together they make the oddest and cutest little couple you've ever met. She doesn't even snark at him anymore when he gets all up in her face, ears, etc.

More on Otis
Hey NEBTR!
I just wanted to give an update on Otis - he's doing great - fully integrated with the pack, learning to act like a nice boy on a leash and we're working on what is actually the biggest challenge - potty training! He poops and pees in the house after breakfast and before he's let out at noon. We're crating him when we're not in the house and he seems fine with that. I'm bummed that we can't let him have the run of the house but he has to learn when and where to go potty.
Otherwise, he's eating and sleeping with the pack who have dog beds on the floor in our room but somehow all wound up on my bed this morning (missing is one Yorkie who acts like a lunatic in the bed and causes complete chaos).
We are so thrilled to have this little guy in our lives - he has charmed everyone how has met him!
Hope you're all doing well!
Warm Regards,
Sarah and Otis
PS . Otis loves to snuggle under blankets - the picture of him with my corgi I had several people tell me it took them a minute to realize there was another dog there!

More on Otis
I'm attaching a picture of my other half and the two boys - our Yorkie Snickers and Otis. Otis is sleeping in his crate at night and while we are at work will be separated also; my parents pee them mid day and because Otis has been such a dear they're both comfortable moving him in and out of the house and back to isolation. We are expecting him to continue to relax and settle down. He definitely still seems to be waiting for the other shoe to drop. I wish I could tell him everything's going to be alright from now on....
Anyway, Otis is being awesome - the dogs are all getting along and we're are thrilled to have him and so thankful to be a part of this organization.
Enjoy the pictures!
I love this picture - Otis wants to say good night :)
Thanks for all the support!

New Foster Otis
Good Morning NEBTR!
He's here and wow, what a dog! He's amazing, sweet, and a total snuggler. It's been less than 24 hours and we're probably still in the honeymoon phase, but he seems like such a sweet boy!
We do see some challenges with integrating the pack but more from the perspective of our cranky Boston than from him. We are the leaders of our pack though and we're reminding our pups of that, being especially diligent!
In the meantime here are some pictures! We believe that he's Boston/Boxer mix. Initially through pictures we thought pit but his body frame is way too slight and in person we both immediately knew he had boxer in him!
Thank you for all the love and support we've gotten so far - you're all doing such amazing things to help these Bostons - it restores my faith in humans!
Warm Regards,
Sarah
Thank you so much for caring for Otis Sarah!
