At 8, Peggy Sue is the perfect blend of youthful playfulness and settled senior. She was originally found as a stray by the York SPCA and luckily made her way to NEBTR and her new foster home in Washington, DC. The way to her heart is through back scratches, belly rubs, and snuggles under a warm blanket by your side or contently in her bed. Although she loves living a life of leisure, she doesn't miss a beat when a game of tug or fetch gets started. A fast learner, Peggy Sue listens well and can tell you exactly what she needs if you're willing to listen. She is looking for her forever home, and just needs a few items to start her journey! Adoptable Pups Wishlist! ABBOTT & EMMA (Best friends forever!)

Hi! We're Abbott (Boston) & Emma (Puggle)! Looks like we'll be in our foster home for a while longer while we're getting over some health issues. We've been together since we were pups and we do EVERYTHING together - including walk on the same leash and we want to sleep in the same bed.

But our foster mommy only has little dog stuff! We'd really like some big beds so we can cuddle together and a leash where we can run around together and sniff everything - our favorite activity.

As my name suggests, I am the pinnacle of strength and masculinity, tipping the scales at 32 pounds of pure muscle and finesse! But I have one tiny weakness... and need some belly bands to keep from leaking. I'm not embarrassed though... I know that admitting my flaws is just another sign of STRENGTH!!!!

Forever Foster Wishlist! PATTI

Hello friends and fans, Patti here. I am a 13-year-old "golden girl" who is loving my new life with my foster mom Amanda. I came to her with absolutely nothing to call my own... after such a long life, you'd think I would have something - but I don't. That's okay, sometimes it's better to start fresh!

I will most likely live here for the rest of my days instead of being adopted, because I have bilateral cataracts and a stage two heart murmur. My foster mom says you would never believe I'm 13, and I love playing with toys!!!

Patsy and Gidget Got Gifts

I came home from work yesterday to find several boxes for Patsy & Gidget at my front door.  They were so excited to  see all of the great things that some amazing people sent them.  They loved everything!  I'm attaching a couple photos of them playing with their new toys & one of Patsy wearing her beautiful new collar.  We want to thank everyone who sent the girls gifts.
