Happy Gotcha Day Jaxx
Jaxx, the foster that never left. He's been here 2 years and we have started
to notice that all the serious creases around his eyes are gone - ah
resilience! (and yes, that's his happy face)... He will be 11 next month
and he is just looking fabulous. Love him to pieces. Happy second Gotcha Day, boy.

Happy Gotcha Day Jaxx
He's an ornery old man and we adore him, so does his fur sisters, Sadie and Josie. So, in keeping with the summer theme, I attached a "shark" video; yes, there has been a shark sighting at the Kyle house.
(The Jaxx shark is on the left of my husband and Josie is on his right)

I just love Jaxx. Stacie, he may be a little ornery but that's what makes him special. - Bonnie

Jax the Early Bird
Seriously, Jax is moving up his dinnertime each week. Normal
dinner time is 4-4:30, but this picture was taken at 3:06. I come
walking into the kitchen from the yard and I here my husband saying,
"Jax, what are you looking for, the early bird special It's 3:00!"
I choked on my water laughing so hard....:) He's a happy boy and we love him dearly... (although he is the ring leader for the other 2 girls - they depend on him...:)

Mine do the same thing with dinner and breakfast! It is not unheard of to be woken up at 3:30 am with requests for breakfast!
Ps. He looks like an in-charge kinda guy!

Former Foster Jaxx
Former foster Jaxx goes to work with my husband and sometimes I get crazy pictures. He loves that dog almost more than me.. (lol) and this time, he went overboard. He always tells me I put Jaxx on a pedestal, so I got this picture yesterday, with the caption; "Hi Mom, you always put me on a pedestal, so I decided to make sure you had a picture"I had to laugh - he is actually posing!
Stacie
Then - our awesome director/volunteer Chris decided it needed a caption! Great caption for a spoiled and loved little guy!!

Sailor Jaxx
I was in a meeting at work and I get this text from my husband...
This is not right, it's not fair. Former foster Jaxx has a better life
than me...
Sigh - he's so happy...

Update on Jaxx
Hi everyone;
And he completely has my heart. He is awesome when settled but it took him awhile to figure out we weren’t going to send him away. He has a lot of energy for an old coot and also a heart murmur which we need to watch. He loves my husband and actually goes to work with him everyday - yes! - he is a truck dog and follows my husband everywhere he goes. He wakes up everyday and waits for my husband to start the truck up. My husband is a retired Firefighter in Atlantic City, but also owns an electrical company. He putz around everyday and Jaxx follows him. When Jaxx gets tired, he goes to the truck and sleeps in the front seat. They share lunch (yes - it is not always good food but there’s a bond I can’t break…), but Jaxx is very happy being a truck dog and the workers and clients love him. He wears a little grey shirt that says,”I am not a French Bulldog, I am a Boston Terrier”. I will try to get a picture for you.
He tolerates his sisters, and they all get along - no fighting whatsoever. He may even like them. He used to get up when Sadie would sit by him and try to share a sun beam with him, but no longer. They share the sun and he’s OK with it. He loves to lay in the sun in the back yard and is mostly a loner - he doesn’t play with them much because he is older and he still loves his ball. He now has 5 of them all different colors. He has been to Florida 4 times (my husband drives with the dogs in the back seat ) and he loves it. He especially loves the warm sun in Florida.
I can now walk all three together, but I take him on special walks by himself because he loves to smell the neighborhood and likes to take his time. He now kisses me when I come home and if I sit next to him on the floor he will put his body into mine for more rubs. Oh, how he likes his rubs. He had no skin issues this winter after we got his skin infection under control. He flared up with a dormant skin condition and after some special baths and medicine, his skin and fur are fine.
Hoping I painted a picture for you of how he has adjusted to his new life. We love him. He’s snoring loudly right now in a sun beam while mommy types….

Jaxx and I went to the beach yesterday - it was
his first trip. He is wearing a tee shirt that says, "I am a Boston
Terrier not a French Bulldog." (and that is not 100% true in his case). I
thought this picture was just neat - he was looking around at the water
and the birds. Doesn't do water but loves the smells. He is a solitary
gentleman, loves his space and his humans and we love him back.

Happy UnBirthday Jaxx
Hi;
Although embarrassed, I'm going to fess up. I was so
excited for February to come because I wanted to make a cake and have a
birthday party for former foster Jaxx, who we adopted last August.
When
I went into his papers to find out the exact day, well, lets just say I
missed it by 6 months - his birthday was actually the month after I
adopted him in October!
Sending a pic - he wanted to wear his hat upside down because it took me 6 months to figure this out....LOL He's 10 1/2 years young!
On
a positive note, this little boy has awesome skin and a full body of
hair (we found out he had a dormant skin disease that flared up and is
now fixed), he still tries to make you think he'll bite you, but we
found out that is just a coping mechanism for stress - and the biggest
news.....he gives kisses to his mom. He is a great dog and Thank You to
NEBTR for giving me the opporuntiy to add another BT bug into my home.
( he also now snug
gles with sister Sadie - he used to walk away but her persistence won)
Stacie Kyle
What a great picture, Stacie. I'm sure he'll be happy to celebrate again in November:)
