Shiloh Goes to the Rainbow Bridge

Shiloh was the "Boston-in-disguise" that NEBTR rescued almost five years ago. An NEBTR volunteer went to pick up a Boston because its owner had died, or had to go into a nursing home. She found two dogs, the Boston and this other 10-year-old little dog, Shiloh.  She knew Shiloh would end up being killed in a shelter, so she took him too.  My daughter Alexandra adopted him.  This is her Facebook eulogy to Shiloh, aka "little man" and his picture.

This week we had to say goodbye to Shiloh. he has been the love and light of my life for the last 4 1/2 years, and I feel so lucky I got to spend the time I did with him. Shi was the best sweet, grumpy, loving, adorable lil baby old man pup I could have hoped for. I miss him terribly.

Thank you to Chris Arena for being the best co-parent around, and to Grace Kim Jiro Marzano James Frankie and Aaron Kovacs for being stellar roommate-godparents. thanks to Trevor K. Squaresville, Wyatt Miller, and of course Deborah Dolan for taking care of him when I traveled. I'm glad he got to see so many places, know so many people, and eat so many treats. my heart is broken but i know he lived a full, happy life.

Below is a photo of Shiloh and Gus when they first arrived at NEBTR.  What a difference love makes!

Raw Diet

A raw diet has many advantages for your Boston Terrier.  Here is an in depth guide written by Tommy Carpenter, one of our members.  He gives much valuable information on how to feed your dog raw.

You can read all about it here, and thanks so much to Tommy!
