Maggie Thanks Santa

Hi, Maggie here. I am modeling my new winter coat in a small size because I am just a little girl and My Secret Santa got this for me. She also surprised me with a JW football which my foster mom put some treats in. I had fun getting them out. Thank you to Nicole for all my presents. I will love them always!!
Love,
Maggie

Tribute to Dawn

Four people would like to say thank you to their wonderful foster Mom,  Dawm Stone, who took care of them when they needed care most, and who devoted herself, and is devoting herself, to the next phase of their lives.

Update on Maggie

My dear sweet Maggie is really doing great these days. Her control is back and that surprised the doctors. Plus she is easier to clean now. The $4K operation was worth every penny. Just look at that face and you will agree. She is my snuggle bunny. I'm thankful every day that NEBTR saved her life for me. Nothing more important in my life than Maggie and Roxann, -- Walter Williams What a special man Walter is for caring for her so selflessly! Maggie is definitely blessed in finding him.

Happy Birthday Maggie

i i'm Maggie. Remember me? I'm an NEBTR girl and I am one year old because NEBTR saved me. I am still self concious of my back end but my owner Walter Williams freshens me up twice a day and I'm good to go. I am half way through ultra-sonic laser treatments which actually feels really good even if it doesn't work. I have a sister to play with and toys to destroy. It's like I have always been here. I'm so happy. If you want a cute Boston like me adopt a rescue from NEBTR. Now if you will please excuse me I have some birthday toys to chew up.

Maggie Has a Forever Home

Wonderful little Maggie went to her forever home Saturday. Her new family came to pick her up and they were greated with many many kisses. They have a 3 yr old Boston at home so once Maggie gets settled in I'm sure the play will begin. She will also have a very large yard to play in. Picture 1 is Maggie in her new traveling shirt waiting. 2. Walter and his mother getting acquainted with Maggie. 3. Maggie's traveling shirt says " One of a Kind". Bennie and I miss her.

-- Dawn Stone

Her New Dad Walter writes,

She was wonderful coming home not afraid at all. But she is timid and Roxy was so excited we kept them seperated. Last night Maggie watched TV with mom on her bed and slept in in her little security blanket cage overnight. Roxy has her own room. Today we had a few brief moments of letting the two together, and there was no fighting. Each day we will allow them to get aquainted. Dawn did a wonderful job to save this special dog. I may have to attend her backside every day until rainbow bridge but i will do it with a smile. This girl has a beautiful mind. And the sweetest personality. Dawn kept her chin up but it is hard to give these dogs up. Perhaps you could have another rescue sent to her soon.

Everyone i met talked highly of the women who run this rescue and i can see why. Tomorrow Maggie will meet Dr. Koenig and maybe we will learn more about her. She just poked her head in my room. I expected a little frightened but she is not one bit. She came running for food with a little jump in her step. She already seems to be a happy dog. When i gently speak to her she listens intently like Poppy used to. So uncommon in a dog this young. This is going to work out fine. Feels like our family is complete once again.

Kind regards,

Walter

Update on Maggie

Look at our girl now!! This is the Christmas miracle that your donations paid for. Thanks to all who contributed so generously so that baby Maggie could have a chance at life. You are all her angels, along with Foster Mom Dawn, who is the biggest angel of all. Remember how sick and weak she looked? Read below for Maggie's life now...

Maggie is doing great in the loving care of her Foster Mom Dawn! She had her surgery and it was a success! Here is a photo of her right after the surgery. Thanks to all those who donated, NEBTR was able to pay for her care. This 8 month old darling now has a lifetime of love to look forward to. As short while ago, it looked as if she would lose her life. Maggie is now up for adoption, and you can read her bio on our Petfinders site.

Maggie and her now famous butt. As Dawn notes, "The important thing to remember is that this is almost flat now, instead of the size of my fist."

Maggie is also getting to enjoy more of the things that baby dogs love. She seems to be thriving. She eats well, has a lot of energy, is playful, and she did well meeting Dawn's family for the first time at Christmas. Everyone fell in love with her!

She really took to her foster Nana.

Playing with Benny. Maggie is on the right.

With her Nana again.

She loved the lounge chair in the sunroom.

She likes to collect all the toys. These are probably the first toys that Maggie has ever had.

She loves Benny's new bed.

Foster Baby Maggie

Here's Maggie's story:

"Maggie-6 mo puppy, spayed, UTD, crate trained and housebroken. Loves everyone, especially children. Good with other dogs. Owner has 3 small children and is facing brain surgery. She's not sure what she will be able to handle after that and wants to see that Maggie is taken care of while she is able to."

And here's what her foster mother Jessica says about her:

"Hi Everyone-

Just wanted to let you all know Maggie is doing great- she is adjusting well and loves having a sister to play with. They have been chasing each other around and playing almost nonstop. I have attached a few pictures. I will send another update soon :)

Thanks,
Jes "
