Remembering Benji and Gunther
The (7) of us gathered, we prayed, said
good-bye and remembered all that was good and loving about these two
precious pups! Gunther a gentle, loving, loyal soul. Benji needy of
love gave so much more than he ever received. His big eyes spoke
volumes. Their paws prints are left on our hearts forever!

Benjamin Goes to the Rainbow Bridge
Sadly, Benji has crossed the rainbow bridge. When Benji arrived last November, we made sure he had relief. We worked to make sure he was always eating well.We made sure he had the best quality of life, belly rubs, sleeping under covers, chewing a beef bone, daily walks, Benji was a prancer and the highlight was the people treats ground up from the table at dinner time. Most of all we shared LOVE! I don't think that can ever be wrong! Benji has been loved and is already greatly missed! As I left my vet's office with Benji in my arms his assistant handed me Gunther's ashes. Could this day get any worse? Sunday we will have a memorial for both Ben Ben and Gunther and they will be buried next to one another.
Sad day!
Maria
Oh Maria, so so sorry for your loss and pain. There are no words. Thank you for all you have given Benji and others.

Adoptable Pup Spotlight! BENJAMIN
Benjamin is a very special boy who unfortunately has a rather sad story. He was scheduled to be euthanized on Thanksgiving, but the vet couldn't do it and called NEBTR - thank goodness.
Benji is a loving senior who wants nothing more than a human to call his own. Unfortunately, his experiences in life have left him very anxious to be alone, and he doesn't really get along with other pets. The perfect match for Benji would be a loving person who could stay home with him and give him love.
Additionally, Benji has some medical issues that require specialized food or home-cooked meals. We realize that Benji may take a little extra care, but hope that someone special will come forward and love him. He's worth it.
Fun Facts: Benji is the very best dog on a leash he prances like a show dog and walks proud, he loves all the neighbors and greets them with a wiggle. He is also a real ladies man, he loves to look at the girls with his big bedroom eyes and get all the kisses he can! Let's say he's very successful!

Benjamin Is Safe and Sound
Benjamin is safe and sound tonight! He was surrendered to NEBTR by his vet, who was asked by his former owner to euthanize him.
Foster mom Maria writes, "The vet Erin in tears. She thanked us all for being here for this boy! He is sweet as can be kisses and wiggles. He looks and acts more like 5 not 9! He is chillaxin with my son Arthur. His room is private and quiet in our lower level. He has not had a visitor stay with him since Maya left! We were also given new toys, food and treats. He is loved for sure!
Benjamin is always in this position. When he is not on your lap or looking out the door or window this is how he relaxes, he is not playing, guarding, there are no other dogs with him, he simply hangs out and rests this way for long long periods of time. Just curious anyone else ever see this before?"
