Update on Hamlet, Formerly Delgado
I reached out to Scott & Becca Rodin to inquire about out little Boston / Beagle and she sent me this picture. I think he is loving his home and family. Becca says he goes with her to horse shows and is getting much better about riding in the car also. He has been on several trips and camping too. I really miss this little guy.

Update on Delgado in His Forever Home
Spoke with Becca Rodlin tonight and she and Scot are just thrilled with Delgado and said that Piglet loves him. He is still a work in progress but he learns quickly. They had to hide their Ferrets for a while but now they are back out in the living area and he has been really good about that. (Beagle in him said attack!, attack! at first now he is calm). I miss him but he is in a great home.

Delgado is Adopted
DELGADO GOT ADOPTED TODAY!! It took him a few minutes, but he fell in love with his new Mommy and Daddy and his new sister, Piglet. We did a pack walk down to the park and by the time we got to the end they were playing together. I am so happy for him. He will have a lot of land to run. These wonderful folks have a horse farm with lots of room. Please join me in wishing well.
GOOD LUCK DELGADO.

P.S. Delgado never sits still for a picture so he is almost always a blur.
Congratulations! Another one off to his forever home, thanks to all you've done for him. Thanks you so much Sandy.

Delgado Thanks Amy Weinstock
A great big Thank you to Amy Weinstock for all my play things. I especially loves the Lamb Chop Squeaky and the Nyla Bone chew. The Balls are fun too. I am having a great time playing with them and deciding which one to chew on next.
Thanks again Amy.
Love,
Delgado

The best time to take pics of this little guy is when he is sleeping. He really loves his Lamb Chop Squeaky because this is the first time since he has been here that he actually took a toy to bed with him. That’s not even his bed (he doesn’t have one yet), he stole my IG’s bed. They share.
Thanks again Amy Weinstock. This is the also the first time he actually wore himself out playing.

Delgado Doing Great in Foster Home
Delgado went in for his neuter yesterday and he did very well. Everyone at the Vet’s office loves him and said he was very well behaved. On the way in at 8am we met a young couple with a BT 5 month old puppy named Dooley and they both hit it off right away. They both said that they had not seen their dog so taken by another male dog. They hugged each other and then just played together while we were checking them in for surgery.
Delgado seems to love everyone he meets, people and other dogs. He is definitely a lover. He will have the E-collar on for 2 weeks so in the meantime I will start the addendum and the description for Pet Finder. He should be very easy to place. He has his Rabies and Neuter certificates. Fecal was negative and he is up to date on his shots. HW and Lyme were negative. He is one healthy little boy except for his teeth which are pretty yellow with tartar. He doesn’t like hard food by itself so I put chicken broth on it and microwave it for 20 seconds to soften it. He loves squeaky toys and playing tug o war with me and my Granddaughter. He is all around a good dog. He should be placed in a home with other dogs and children 8 years or older. I’ve not seen him around cats so not sure about that.
I hope you all are enjoying your summer.

Hello From Delgado
Hello from Delgado,
He is the best dog ever! Delgado has no behavior issues that I can find other than being stubborn which is a Beagle trait. He sits when I ask him too and automatically when being offered a treat. Today, for the first time, he walked beside me rather than trying to pull me. I guess he finally figured out I have more determination than he does. I still cannot figure out if he is hard of hearing or has selective hearing. Sometimes he comes when I call him and sometimes he ignores me.
It has been very warm here so I have been letting him out of his kennel more often. There is one picture of him with his toy lamb and Baabee and Sophie are asleep on th e couch behind him. Then there is the picture of my Sadie following him to the ramp off the back deck. (She just likes to keep tabs on him). There have been absolutely no altercations and it’s like he has been here forever. On Tuesday my IG, Baabee, finally defended himself and told Delgado in no uncertain terms that he will not be dominated. Baabee is a very fearful dog, so for him to do that is a miracle. He must have sensed that Delgado is not really a dominate dog. Sadie, who is bossy anyway, put him in his place the first thing. They were chasing each other yesterday being very playful.
All in all he will make someone a very wonderful pet. He would do well in a house with multiple dogs and children ( he has met several young kids on our walks). He loves the attention but is not an overly needy dog. He likes to sit on you lap, but also like his space sometimes. He goes in his kennel without resisting and he is completely house broken. He has not had an accident in the house since he got here. Like I said earlier….. I love this dog!

Delgado Loves His Welcome Package
Here are some pictures of Delgado after he received his welcome package from PetsPlus. He really loves the woolly sheep and he really loved the treats. He is very playful and loves to run around with the sheep in his mouth stopping to shake the dickens out of it every now and then.

New Foster Delgado
Jen Bevensee pulled Delgado from the Newark shelter!
With transport help from Melanie Stein, Delgado will go to Sandy Z on Sunday.
Jen reports that so far happily jumped in the car and rolled over for belly rubs and is loving his freedom!
Delgado was found abandoned in a shopping cart and has been in the Newark nj shelter since April.
Thank you Jen, Melanie and Sandy!!!
Again, many, many thanks for saving the poor kid. - Isabella
