Booker is on TV

Hi Everyone,
I have attached a link showing my former foster, Booker, on a local tv station with his mom, Dr. Lisa Fink-Shampaner. She is an oral vet at U of Penn and she and a colleague are going over the importance of oral care. It is Dental Health Month, after all! The funny thing is that Booker doesn't have that many teeth, he had to have most pf them pulled when I fist got him from his former owner. Regardless, he is as handsome and sweet as ever! Enjoy!

Update on Booker

It has been one year since Booker came into our lives. We love him more than words can say. He is a perfect companion and everyone's favorite munchkin. Thank you NEBTR for our 2nd wonderful Boston.

Booker gets Adopted!!

Well, little Booker went to his forever home today! It was very bittersweet, as it always is. We really fell in love with him, but he has the best home possible. His new Mom is a vet and she is going to take great care of him. She's going to take him to UoP, where she is a student, and see if they can fix his cataracts! Lisa and Brett also had another NEBTR dog that they lost earlier this year.

I dropped him off this morning and almost lost it when he tried to leave with me. But, I know that he is going to have an amazing life. He will live in Philly and NYC, I'm a little jealous!

Thanks to everyone at NEBTR that helped save Booker and to all of his amazing Secret Santa's, all three of them, the Kautz's, Clarke's and DiChiara's, you all rock!

As I'm typing this, I turned around because I thought that I saw Booker in the bed next to me.....this is a tough one.

Booker Finds His Forever Home and Thanks His Santas

Bookers Secret Santa Rocks!

Booker got his second Secret Santa box today and it is awesome! Courtney and her family are amazing. Booker got a new bed, a blanket and a ton of new toys, he loves everything! Booker is going to save these new things for his big day, which is coming soon! We will share more about that later.....

Booker's Santa Rocks

Booker got his second Secret Santa box today and it is awesome! Courtney and her family are amazing. Booker got a new bed, a blanket and a ton of new toys, he loves everything! Booker is looking forward to using all these new things and looks forward to his big day, which is coming soon!

Booker's Secret Santa

Booker received his Secret Santa gifts today and, boy, was he thrilled! He got lot's of great toys and treats. He especially loved the little duck that he got.
Booker has a meeting with a potential adopter on Sunday. He's very excited about it, and that if he does get adopted, he won't have to share his new toys with four other dogs!

Booker's Surgery Update

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to give you all an update on Booker and his surgery last Thursday.
 He is a lot better today, He had some scrambled eggs and some Greek yogurt. He's such a good boy, no licking of the wound and no complaining! He's napping on his bed, which is on the couch, which is covered in blankets.
The woman that is interested in adopting Booker has emailed me several times to check in on him, she is a VET! 
We are going to meet after Thanksgiving, when he is tip-top! 
This little guy is going to be so much happier without all of those bad teeth. Not to mention, his breath actually smell's pretty good! 
I have attached a few photo's, a before and after surgery. I'll send more when Booker is up to having his photo taken.

New Foster Booker

Booker is a very handsome man, very well mannered and sweet as can be.


Booker had his wellness visit yesterday and it didn't go well.

As I suspected, he is blind. He has cataracts in both eyes and has very limited sight. He has very bad teeth, a fracture in one and the rest are pretty rotten. But, the worst news is that he has a mast cell tumor on his hind leg. I noticed it the night before the visit and had the vet check it out. They did an aspiration and that's what it is.
I'm going to set him up for surgery and get him better! 

He is just the greatest guy! We are all in love with him and want to see him get better and thrive even more than he already is!

I have added a few photos of Booker, with my gang. I'll add more, to see him is to love him!

Booker represented NEBTR at Petco recently.  A fan, Kelly Davila, saw him there and took this photo of him.  Booker is a 6 year old owner surrender and new to NEBTR.
