Update on Bruno in His Forever Home

Bruno's Forever Mom sent me two photos of him and an update.
It's so nice to know he has such a wonderful home.  :)

Happy Spring.  I hope you made it through the polar vortex!  I just wanted to let you know that Bruno is doing great.  He's a real pal.  I've been working from home a lot these days and he makes a great companion for the work day.  He mostly sleeps by my desk until we go for our walks.

He sometimes goes after certain dogs in a dog park but I'm working on that.  Actually I'm considering having a trainer help me with that.  Other than that, he's great, a really good match for me.
The first photo is how Bruno spends most of his day when I work from home. He sleeps right next to my desk. The second is him as co pilot, we were going hiking. He's not so much a hiker - he's more of a sniffer.

Pupcake Taste-Testers

Foster mom Chris made pupcakes for Vci and Bruno and  here are some photos of the taste testers.
It was unanimous....they all loved it!

Here are some photos of Bruno. The photos of him laying on the floor is what he does when I'm playing with Vic. He patiently waits his turn. He is such a mellow sweet heart!

Foster Bruno Checking in to say hi!

Bruno is part of the foster duo of Vic and Bruno. But whether they are a duo or not is yet to be determined, since they do not seem to be a bonded pair and, in fact, are happier when they are apart! 
When Vic is not around Bruno loves to play with the balls and toys and jump and run.  Foster Mom Chris has figured out that Bruno isn't a bump on the log he pretended to be :) They are working on getting some weight off him and get him more one on one play time!

He is super loving, and would rather sleep on a hard floor to be next to some weight off him and get him more one on one play time! He is super loving, and would rather sleep on a hard floor to be next to you, than be in a fluffy bed in the next room. Loves neck scratches, car rides, walks and is scared of loud noises.

Foster Vic - a great dog!

Here are some photos of Vic - our new foster. Once he's been house trained and neutered he will be the PERFECT dog!

He can play hard, but he can turn it off when play time is over. If you are looking for a compact brown brindle dog with smarts, that likes to play fetch...this is your guy....

More on Vic and Bruno

Here are some photos of Vic & Bruno supervising dinner preparation last night. Bruno is obsessed with food, and Vic is obsessed with balls.  Everyone has been sniffing through the gates at each other, and I let my dominant female meet the boys today. It went VERY well. She likes Bruno best, Vic hardly got a sniff.

Vic and Bruno - Learning in their foster home....

Vic and Bruno's foster mom has settled any food issues that have existed in the past with these two boys. They needed some training when it came to food time. This is the first step of their journey toward getting them ready for their forever families.

Fostering is so important and so rewarding and we give Vic and Bruno's foster mom, Chris, big kudos for catching and correcting this issue early on.

Bruno is the larger of the two at 30 pounds, he has more gray, yet he is the younger of the two at 7 1/2 years old. He is very sweet.

Vic is small, only 20 pounds according to the surrender sheet, and he looks to be the brains of the operation. He's 9 years old, but looks nowhere close to it. He too seems to be a sweet little guy as well!

We will have more coming on this pair of sweet boys as they get settled in.
