Augie Goes to the Rainbow Bridge

I am so sorry to report that our little Augie crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  Here is my last Augie hug at home. Thank you to NEBTR for the "Augie" experience and for all the support of all his supporters and friends. Special thanks to all who made Auige's last Christmas so special with all the gifts. His pain is too much for me to allow it to go on at this point.

I am glad to have had this little angel in our lives for a little while.

You gave Augie the best possible life he ever could have had.. I can only imagine he's running free from pain. Hugs to you. The last year or so to the end, he  found the two best pet parents that any fur baby would want to have.

Augie got this secret santa yesterday. I know he will love the tree branch kong. He adores tuggy toys! Thank you so much. Augie will get these on Christmas morning as requested. Augie kisses to you!

A bright spot on the Augie front. Augie received his Secret Santa gifts on Wednesday. Thank you Carrie! He enjoyed them very much. Augie is Ready to Find His Home for Christmas

I  should wait on these but Augie and I had so much fun and he is so cute I had to show him off. A reminder that Augie is still up for Adoption. He cuddles next to me every night before going to bed, then with Tom, then with me again and he always has my cat along side of him when we cuddle. We do occasionally let him sleep with us but continue to keep him crate trained and he now sleeps in his crate on his own when he could be sleeping on a sofa. Here he is obviously getting used to me and my camera. 

His foster brother Freckles has a page and when he reaches 1000 likes (20  away) we will be making a small donation to NEBTR for all the good work that is done here.

Hi Everyone
Just a quick update on the little guy. Augie is doing well except the rash on his tummy is back and as he is already on Benedryl I will try a couple of diet changes. & if needed go to the vet.

Here is Augie Ironman! The day after staple removal and he has been walking with all three of our dogs sucessfully now. Slow but steady progress.

Update on Augie

 

Augie in the yard. I can't wait until he gets his staples out this week. He will be one happy dog. He has managed to rub and roll until he pops the donut off but only when he first sees us and is excited. He has be great with going out as long as we don't let him go too long outside of the crate.  He is now gong to the door which he wasn't before so I am pleases that he is progressing a little.

Welcome to Augie! He is here! He is very nervous as expected but settled once we could get him out of the car. He did enjoy exploring the new room and bathroom. He ate and drank. He went outside and pottied on the leash. Enough for one night. More news to come. And he is adorable.
