 Kristin Pageau:

Indigo loving life! Keep me in your thoughts, I go for my neuter in two weeks it will be a little more invasive because I'm a cryptorchid (retained testicle) but doc says it's common and I will do just fine. I will be ready for adoption soon.

More on New Foster Wrigley

Wrigley has quickly learned the fine art of sun bathing over the week!  (left to right my Dolly, foster failure Tigger-less than 3 months in, my Lola, and our new guy Wrigley).  He received a clean bill of health at the vet yesterday, and most eagerly awaits neutering (at least I eagerly await it!!!).

Wrigley is sweet and gentle and good with people, dogs, and cats.  He hasn't had ANY accidents in the house since arriving last week-even being unneutered.   He is moderate energy dog, and will make anyone a most AWESOME pet.  He's got silly googley eyes, droopy jowls, freckles, and is just cute as a button.  I'm hoping he gets a wonderful home that he deserves quickly after he is fixed and recovered.

He was separated in kitchen for 5 days, then I realized this caused more stress and anxiety in all my dogs, so I found with supervised controlled introductions, it would not be a problem to cohort him in the house.  All the animals are now less stressed co-mingling.  At night or when we're out, he (and Tigger) are crated without any problems.  We keep working together.

Wrigley - One Week in foster care....

He does, however, harasses my Lola at times with humping whenever possible.  He is moderate energy dog, and will make anyone a most AWESOME pet.  He's got silly googley eyes, droopy jowls, freckles, and is just cute as a button.  I'm hoping he gets a wonderful home that he deserves quickly after he is fixed and recovered.

Sasha's Easter Basket

Sasha received her awesome Easter basket.
In it was a cute bandana she is wearing in the picture as well as tons of treats. She loves it.
Thank you Pam Hess for thinking of this little girl. :)

Sasha

Hi everyone.

I'm sure you remember little cutie pie Sasha.
Her family lovingly surrendered her to NEBTR.

When I got back from my trip last night I opened a box that was addressed to Sasha. In it was gifts for her from her former family. I thought how wonderful and loving they are.

Attached are some photos

Rescue Poem... shared by Champ Waring

Rescue Poem... shared by Champ Waring

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,

All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.

I'd like to open my baggage, Lest I forget,

There is so much to carry - So much to regret.

Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top. Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,

And there by my bowl hides Fear and Shame.

As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave - I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.

I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,

But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.

Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack?

Or will you just look at my things and take me right back?

Do you have the time to help me unpack? To put away my baggage, to never repack?

I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see.

But I do come with baggage - So will you still want me?

The Easter bunny came early! Buddy would like to thank Michelle Patel for the gift. And thanks to PoocheyChef for putting these baskets together! They are so cute!
He waited so patiently while I took the picture, then gobbled up the snickerdoodle that I was bribing him with

Pugs Goes to the RainBow Bridge

My sweet Pugs went to the Rainbow Bridge today after a bout of Pancreatitis. She was 12 years old. Our hearts are broken! RIP Angel baby. You will deeply missed!
I am devastated.  She fought with all she had.  RIP baby.

 Linda Vermeylen

Oh no!  So sorry for your loss. She suffers no more;  only runs and plays.  Feel good about the life she you gave her - Loretta Butler

I'm so sorry, Linda.  Thank you for all you did for her. - Beth McFadden

Oh I am so so sorry Linda, Pugs was in my prayers as well as you…. The only problem with belonging to all of these boston groups is the sad sad news when one is lost like this  but then there is all the support and understanding from everyone who has them and have gone through the same. It breaks our hearts every time and never gets easier, ever! What keeps me going is knowing at the end they will meet us all at the bridge to be reunited. I just picture all the dogs that I have had in my lifetime up there playing with each other . My thoughts are with you and I'm sending you Hugs ! Evon

Linda I'm so sorry for your loss. Run free sweet angel. - Conny

Linda
I am so sorry to hear about sweet Pugs. For those of you who don't know, Linda took in both Pugs and Leah from a elderly man who loved them dearly but could no longer care for them. Linda drove and met him and promised him she would love them and do her best to keep them together. She kept them both and kept her promise. Even took in Harley, the blind deaf boy off Craig's list recently as well.
Linda, you are a true rescue angel.
Run free sweet Pugs

Louie goes to school

Hi all! Louie did really well today. He met 5 or 6 people, sat on command, gently accepted treats, and didn't bite a single person! He is becoming more confidant and less hand shy. I think he will be a great dog! He is very food motivated, and VERY tennis ball motivated! I am excited. I think as long as he meets his potential adopters in a neutral environment, he will do just fine! What a relief! I think he had fun with my trainer. We did a bit of targeting and clicker training, and he's not the smartest dog I've ever seen, but he gets it! Im looking forward to next week's class!

Thanks for all the well wishes!
