I'm so incredibly grateful to NEBTR for assisting me in finding Butch a loving new home because he's an awesome boy and he deserves it!

Adoptable Pup Wishlist! SAMSON

Hello new friends and supporters. I'm Samson, and I was rescued from a mill about a week ago. I'm now in the loving care of my foster mom, Jill, who will take great care of me until I find my forever home. I am so grateful that there were some humans who thought I deserved a better life. I'm starting to believe I do too.

Here is a list of the things that would make life easier for me (and my foster mom) until I find my family. If you could, perhaps you could send me a treat or something like a collar or harness. I would be forever thankful.

Update on Smokey - Smokey's the Best

My wife Inez and I adopted Smokey almost a year now. I have got to tell you it seems Smokey has been part of our family forever.  He is doing great, he is such a good dog and a very loving companion. We have not had ONE incident with him and if you read his bio that might surprise you. He has to near us all the time and he LOVES to get LOVE. We could not be happier with him and he at one time was very well trained. You can see his expressions now everyday. He used to have terrible dreams at first but they have now disappeared. He sleeps all night and most of the time I find him along side our bed when I wake up. He goes on 2 walks a day if noy more and that is his favorite time . He loves his walks around the neighborhood. When we first took him you could tell he did not trust strangers on the walks ( hair on his back stood up) now he greets them with no problems. We are still very careful because of his history but he has not let us down at all.

Smokey loves to be near us no matter what room we are in even our bathroom when we are in the shower or I am shaving. About the only problem we have with Smokey is you have watch when ever you move cause he is always underfoot and I mean always.

We might have rescued Smokey but he rescued our little girl Mindy. After our older Boston Mack went to the rainbow bridge she was depressed and lonely. She was never alone in the house. Smokey and her get on great, They are always together. She is a very happy boston again as is Smokey.

I enclosed some photos. The one with Smokey laying on the spread shows just what a good dog he is. When he came to us with Lisa. She told us he chews up all his blankets he is given. Well that is the same blanket he was given on day one and its still all in one piece almost a year later and he still lays on it when not on the couch next to me. Which is where he spends the majority of his time

I just wanted to update on how our Smokey is doing. We could not be happier with him. I have always hears adopted dogs can be the best and that is certainly true in our case with Smokey.

So to describe how Smokey and us are doing in almost a year's time in a word is WONDERFUL.

Adoptable Pups Wishlist! ROCCO and SARA

Hi new friends... We are Rocco and Sara, the rescued mill pups. You may have heard some of our story, and know that we've been through a lot in the past week. We are so blessed to have found ourselves at Linda's house being fostered. Life sure is different when you are free. We love lounging, eating good food and exploring!

We will need a few things before we'll be ready for adoption. If you have a moment and a few dollars to spare, we would be so very grateful if you could donate something. Our foster mama says we don't need toys because there are plenty, but we do need food, supplements and shampoo!

Thank you friends. We know how lucky we are... and we owe it all to you and our friends at NEBTR.

Spot's Silly Happy Game!

Lucy

Lucy is enjoying the warm sun today after seeing the vet to have her staples removed . I think she is feeling a lil better .

She's very pretty!

Hank and Frank Update

Hi everyone things have been crazy and stressful over here. The boys went to the vet and they both tested positive for Lyme disease and have some boston eye issues. The boys are still grouchy and are good on walks with my boston. They do not like it if they are in the room together and they try to play. Hank seems to be afraid of sneezing, Fiona trying to play, frank at times and brooms. If Hank gets really upset he gets fearful and if you don't have him on the leash. This fear can get slightly aggressive but if you grab his leash you can easily calm him down.
Frank has been settling in better. He seems to want to play and body bumps Fiona. She thinks it's play time but Frank seems to get nippy. Frank was given a long walk at the park with my mom and her dog. He does great on walks and loves them, he just doesn't know what to do with other dogs once the walking stops. He loves people and kids and loves giving kisses and get so jealous if you share time.I have to tell you all that each one is a total love one-on-one. They got baths on Friday and I can tell they feel better! Bath time for Hank was so stressful for him! We are on our meds and eye drops and taking it day by day.

More to follow... Katelyn L. Wall, NJ Fiona, Frank (fat frank), and HankP.S. We are so sorry for all the loses! We send you kisses!

Meet Macho Pancho

Macho Pancho has arrived, he is a spunky 9 yr. old boston bull that is set in his ways and will tell you what he wants. He loves to cuddle, he runs outside like a rocket, he loves car rides and most of all he expects several walks a day.  This boy does not like having his body grabbed but who does? He will need an adult home that knows what a boston bull is all about. We have had many fosters but this is the first time my husband said if he was ever going to keep a foster Pancho would be the one!
