Update on Chester

Chester was surrendered by his owner. He is 10 years old, neutered, and microchipped, with terrible glaucoma. His eye appears to have never had treatment. As a result, it will need to be removed before it ruptures. It certainly must be painful for him! Along with the glaucoma he has a small lump under his chin that needs to be removed and biopsied.

But despite that all, he is a happy guy with plenty of energy. He loves to run and play, and has many more happy years ahead of him once his eye is treated. Help him to lead that life and find a forever home.

UPDATE ON CHESTER: Thanks to your donations, Chester was able to go to an ophthalmic specialist. Chester got good news! Dr. Wotman found that his pressures went from 70 in the left eye on Wednesday to only 17! His right eye was 34 on Wednesday and the lens was of that eye was loose. His pressure was down to 22 and the lens has reattached in the right spot! He no longer needs pain medicine now that the pressures are where they need to be. The best part is he does not need to have the eye removed! He will however require a lifetime of eye drops due to the glaucoma.

He is going to the vet tomorrow to have the lump on his neck biopsied and get a heartworm test. His teeth are in decent shape for a 10 year old.

He's a super sweet boy with plenty of energy! He's doing really well with my three and he's excellent with kids. He loves people and will cuddle right up in your lap and he loves sleeping with my sons at night. He has some good years ahead of him and will make a great new addition to one lucky family!
