Mushroom Alert

There are a lot of mushrooms popping up all over due to the cool, wet weather in the Northeast. A lot of them are toxic: they can kill your pets.

Please be careful when walking your dogs, don't let their curiosity harm them.

And check the outdoor areas where your dog plays, including dog parks, back yards, and dog runs. Be aware that mushrooms will even pop up in stone, mulched, or sand landscapes, between paving stones and bricks, and in outdoor pots.

Mushrooms pop up quickly so check these areas several times a day.
