Party Down Dog Birthday Cake Recipe

Party-Down Dog Birthday Cake Recipe

Makes 1 cake
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup shredded carrots
1/3 cup honey
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup natural peanut butter
Frosting:
3 tbsp spreadable cream cheese
2/3 cup pumpkin puree or peanut butter (or 1/3 of each!)
Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
2. Mix together flour and baking soda until completely blended. Add remaining ingredients and mix well with a wooden spoon or spatula.
3. Pour mixture into a non-stick 8″ round cake pan or an 8×4-inch loaf pan.
4. Bake in oven for 40 minutes.
5. Let cool. Use this time to mix frosting ingredients. Frost when cake is completely cool.
6. Get the party started – everybody throw your paws up in the air and wave ‘em like you just don’t care!
