Hope Has a Forever Home

Hey everyone,

Hope was adopted by Angela and Mike, and is in her forever home now.

I wanted to let you know that Hope is doing great. After a rough first week, she seems to be settling in nicely. Within three hours, Hope was sitting on the sofa with their three cats. Unfortunately their other dog, Journey was just diagnosed with Renal Failure and the Vet is giving her 6 months to 2 years. Despite the poor outlook for Journey and the stress they're surely going to encounter they are happy to have Hope in the family. They have contacted a behaviorist/trainer, and are making great progress with any issues that Hope was having. Also they did lots of tests on Hope (with Angela being a Vet tech I knew they would.) She was found to be free of Lyme's Disease, and Ehrlichia. Unfortunately Hope's mouth was found to have several issues, and had to have six teeth pulled. She is doing great and probably feels better as many of those teeth were so infected they were puss-filled.

Just thought everyone would like to hear how great she is doing. She has a massed a huge clothing collection and is actually wearing them. She enjoyed taking them on off more than anything else. I have a ton of pictures of her on my cellphone and if I can figure out how to transfer them to the computer I will happily do so. She looks great. I am so pleased. Plus the best part is I can see her whenever I want, since they all live near me!

Everyone please say a little prayer that Hope and the Shafer's are a perfect match for each other.
