I received a wonderful update from Chubby's adoptive parents the other day;


    "Chubby is doing great and very much loved here in our house. She is an amazing dog. She even likes sleeping with the kitties. We want to thank you and everyone else at the rescue for bringing her into our family. The work you all do is truly amazing."

Chubby received a gift off her Wish list from Brooke, Brett and Fenny Nelson! Chubby says if she has to be cold... At least she can be cute. Thank you so much! :)

Pittsburgh is getting our first real snow of this winter and Chubby is absolutely hating it. She definitely likes spoiled life.

She entered foster care at 17.8 lbs. Last week at the vet she had gained 2lbs!  She definitely likes the food in her foster home!

Oh wow!  Seems like she loves to be pampered!  What a sweet girl!

Chubby Says Thanks to Santa

Chubby received her Secret Santa gifts from Brooke L Nelson, Brett, and Fenny! She loved them! She immediately picked up her bag of food and tried to run away with it! She took her hide-a-way chimney toy and hid the entire thing in her bed. Thank you all so much! The food is a big help. Chubby was severely underweight 2 weeks ago when she entered foster care. With premium food she has been putting on weight and her coat is looking so healthy! Her favorite toy is very similar to the chimney hide-a-way toy. She's worn it out already. A new one was what Chubby really wanted from Santa! Thank you for your kindness and giving this pup a Merry Christmas!

Chubby Conquers the Stairs

Chubby has been at her foster home for a week and a half. She was very uneasy on stairs when she first arrived. She would not even attempt the steep wooden ones leading to the second floor of her foster home. But last night she braved the climb... And conquered it! She even did a celebratory dance on her foster mom's bed.

I'm so proud of this little angel! She is so mild tempered, loving and smart.

Chubby Has Her First Bath

New Foster Chubby

Chubby was rescued from a backyard breeder who kept her on a 5ft leash and bred her up until last year.

Amy Raynes made a long transport of over 6 hours in the car to bring Chubby to NEBTR. Amy writes, "She was curiously prancing around her new home that had no other dogs last night I am overjoyed that this sweet pup gets a new start on her life, no dog should have to suffer abuse and neglect. Thank you Jerrilyn and Kelly."

Many thanks to Kelly G for helping this beautiful girl to find her way to a new life.  Kelly says that she is a real sweetheart.
