Update on Belle, Joan's Foster

Hi everyone! I have not given you an update on my permanent foster, Belle.  If you remember she is the 14 year old nearly blind girl abandoned in PA back in Jan.  She is doing very well and fits right in with the rest of the gang.  Her hair has grown back nicely except I think her little tail will always be bald.  She has gained weight and is a whopping 14 1/2 pounds now.  She has quickly learned to mooch with the rest of them at dinnertime and runs to greet me when I come home from work.  She has really bonded with my husband though and wants to sit with  him and have him rub her back for hours.  She has turned into a feisty little old lady and I love her dearly already.  I am attaching some pictures of her dressed as Spiderman for a costume contest we entered at a fundraiser for the local Humane Society.  Thee is a picture of me with her and one of the whole gang.  They were my little super heroes.

Walking Your Dog

http://blogs.dogster.com/dog-training/whos-walk-is-it-anyway/2010/08/

Read this great article from Dogster.Com

When trainer Casey Lomonaco is out walking her dogs, she often sees fellow dog walkers doing things that make her cringe - mainly, dogs being yanked around on leashes or getting yelled at for, well, being dogs. With our busy schedules, it's easy to head out with the plan of "walking x route in y amount of time" and getting frustrated when Fido isn't down with the agenda. But the next time you leash up your dog, ask yourself who the walk is really for.

Update on Tucker

Thought you might like to see more photos of Tucker in his forever home…  he’s doing SO well!!

Tucker looks like he’s quite happy in his new home! I love the picture of him with his new sister at the window. Looks like his legs are doing really well! He had a little booboo on his paw in the last picture, hence the bandage… we certainly remember that little pouty face! I’m so happy for him – he scored the jackpot of homes!
