Update on Cuse, formerly Popeye

popeyecusie

Little update on former foster...now failed foster and adopted happy BT Popeye, now Cusie.

"We have had a fun year with our new boy. Cusie came to us underweight, sick, frightened, and possibly abused. In the last 3 months he has really come out of his shell and his personality is charming. He is super sweet and loves meeting new people.
He has had so many new experiences this past year. We travel quite frequently but going camping this summer was the highlight. He is just pure joy to watch swimming and splashing-he is a total water boy! He has a brother, Boston, and the two are the bestest of buds. We are so blessed to give this little guy the life that all souls deserve to live.

Thank you very much! Jackie Foster

Tank/Benji and Popeye Find Their Forever Homes

Congratulations to Tank/Benji and Popeye who have found their forever homes!

Both have found their permanent homes with their foster moms.  Robyn Seely is adopting Tank/Benji and Jackie Foster adopted Popeye.  I know that both have hit the doggy powerball and their tough days are over, since they will only know love and devotion going forward.

Jackie writes, "It is with a very joyous heart that I inform the group that one of our fosters has been adopted- my partner and I!!
When we first met Popeye he was covered in fleas, sick, and just skin and bones weighing in at under 15 lbs. He was super sweet, giving kisses and extremely obedient.
Popeye's former owner could not afford care for him and he was lucky to come into rescue when he did.
I am thankful to our wonderful team of people who helped transport and organize the transport (Jerrilyn) not once but twice (because the owner changed her mind the first time).

Within the two week test period- he grew on us. My other boston- named Boston and cat liked him right away. I knew that if I let him go to another home, I would Always think of him.

Since my partner and I are Syracuse basketball fans we've renamed him 'Cuse. It just fits his personality better.

Check out the picture I posted- he's so handsome- one blue eye and one brown eye.

Cuse is loving his new home, his new brothers, his walks, and all the yummy food he is eating."

New Foster Popeye

Today my partner and I picked up Popeye from Watertown, NY (way, way upstate). He came to us via transport from Rochester, NY. Thanks a TON to Christine and Kerry!!

Popeye is Extremely skinny- only about 15 lbs. He is mostly skin and bones...but no worries...we'll fatten him up soon. He was covered in fleas very itchy and had diarrhea.

He is the sweetest little boy. Loved everyone we met at Petco. He was great for the hour car ride home, he slept wrapped in a blanket on my lap the whole time. He was even good on the leash. He's still on guard, sleeping standing up or sleeping while sitting. Soon, he'll be more relaxed and we'll be able to tell more about the little guy.

So glad this guy came into rescue... and it almost didn't happen. But through a lot of patience on Jerrilyn's and Sheryl's part we finally got him today!  As ever, Jerrilyn was tireless in her efforts to bring him into to us.

Thank you all who helped (yet another) soul find a safe place to live in peace, warmth, and with a full belly :)
