Pablo is Adopted

Hi everyone,

Pablo was adopted!!

He was just adopted by a wonderful woman, Barbara Marcus, who had previously adopted Buddy from us, I think about six years ago.  He went to his forever home (and I am confident this WILL be his forever home!!) last Friday, and things seem to be working very well.

Pics attached.  I took the pics with Barbara in it, and she sent the rest to me.

Pablo's Secret Santa

Pablo says thanks to Debra Costello, his Secret Santa.  We received a total of four boxes, not two, so thanks also to Santas Nicole Pollak and Mickey Lyons.

Thanks to your generosity, Pablo received a much-needed new bed, blankies, squeak toys, tug toys, and bully sticks - all of his favorites!!

I've attached some photos and below are links to some short YouTube videos.

He would not get out of his new bed when we took it out.

We crate him at night or sometimes he gets up in the early morning and does a little tinkle, so we put his bed in the crate for him with his new blankies.  For the first time ever, he has started going into his crate on his own to lay down.
Thank you so much from sweet Senor Pablo and us!

New Fosters Pablo and Chicki

IMG_0278

Hi everyone,

This is Pablo and Chicki.

Pablo is about two years old and Chicki about three years old.  Chicki has the thin white blaze on her head -  Pablo's is so thin it is barely visible.

They were surrendered by a man who was a long-haul trucker.  While he was away, the dogs were with his girlfriend and children, and they kept "getting out".  He reported that he had received a number of tickets due to them getting out, and realized he should give them up.  He reported that he only had them a few months, and that he had gotten them from a friend who had bred Chicki (she has definitely had at least one litter).

They are both sweet and adorable - Pablo looks like he may be part Frenchie.  They seem to be in good health and were both recently spayed and neutered and up-to-date on their shots.  Pablo has some skin irritation - will find out what that is when they see our vet to get their stitches out (there was an organization that originally received them that did the spay/neuter/shots last Friday before turning them over to us, so they haven't seen our vet yet).  They are about 20 pounds each.

They are housetrained - no accidents.  They know basic commands but are inconsistent in obeying them.  They walk nicely - Pablo is still a little resistant to walking, but they do not pull at all.

At this time, I would say they can be adopted together, which would be great as they do seem close, or Pablo could go to any home and Chicki to a home without other dogs.  I don't see Pablo being any trouble with children - he doesn't seem to have an aggressive bone in his body - he just wants love, love, and more love.
