Update on Rocky

Update on Foster Buster
Hi everyone from Buster! Buster had been our foster for only two weeks now and he has learned to lay down and stay, gets along with my female dog and is comfortable on leash with our one Boston. Buster will be seeing the vet soon. He is 8 years old and just a lover! He will make an excellent companion for someone. He loves other calm dogs and is not real high energy. He just want to be by your side. He loves the car too.
Stella Is Adopted
Congratulations to Stella, who found her forever home with the Robinson family. Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue has cared for her
for several months and today this lucky girl met her daddy! Home sweet
home, good luck Stella!

Party Down Dog Birthday Cake Recipe
From Amy Tokic, PetGuide.com:
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup shredded carrots
1/3 cup honey
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup natural peanut butter
Frosting:
3 tbsp spreadable cream cheese
2/3 cup pumpkin puree or peanut butter (or 1/3 of each!)
Directions:
Party-Down Dog Birthday Cake Recipe
Makes 1 cake1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup shredded carrots
1/3 cup honey
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup natural peanut butter
Frosting:
3 tbsp spreadable cream cheese
2/3 cup pumpkin puree or peanut butter (or 1/3 of each!)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
- Mix together flour and baking soda until completely blended. Add remaining ingredients and mix well with a wooden spoon or spatula.
- Pour mixture into a non-stick 8″ round cake pan or an 8×4-inch loaf pan.
- Bake in oven for 40 minutes.
- Let cool. Use this time to mix frosting ingredients. Frost when cake is completely cool.
- Get the party started – everybody throw your paws up in the air and wave ‘em like you just don’t care!

Welcome to NEBTR fosters Tessie and Yaz. Fantastic foster mom Conni Varano has opened her heart and home to this duo, and her friend Maria Pastuszak writes,
"Tessie(7 in March) & Yaz(7 in Nov.) Bio siblings, arrived in Meriden
CT at my BFF Conni's house Saturday. Tessie is an alpha crazy for all
the attention. Her skin is a complete mess, it will take some doing but
we'll get her on track. We are told Tessie is not good with other dogs
but we will test that further. Yaz seems to only get worked up is he
sees Tessie react, he is a passive boy that follows her lead, he has an
under bite that gives him a bulldog look he is incredibly handsome and
sweet as can be. Both approx. 20lbs, they know where to potty, love
their crates and they do nothing wrong. They never accepted the 2yr old
human and remained gated where Tessie would scream and that was no
longer working in an apartment. Yaz needs to be re-tested as he just had
lyme disease and took meds. Conni reports they are angels that do not do any
wrong."

Melanie writes, "Hi everyone! Just wanted to send a quick email about my first foster Buddy. He's been with us & has been nothing but a pleasure. He's settling in nicely and is very sweet. He slept in his bed in the back of the car the entire trip home, loves his toys (his former dad sent several with him) & is submissive to my 5 dogs through the baby gates. He doesn't like to go outside to potty, but I'm sure he'll learn quickly to go outside. Wish me luck!"

So this girl is awesome!! She has one of the best personalities I've seen, so friendly to all. She brings such joy to our home as she is always happy and playful! She had a fun weekend... long walk and visit to the dog park yesterday and pet store today for a new toy.

Brewtus Goes to the Vet, Doees Great
Hello everyone! Brewtus went to the vet on Monday and all
looked great! He did fantastic with the doctor as well as the other
patients in the waiting room..(Ihave to admit I was nervous about it
since he can be a feisty little devil at home haha). But he was a
perfect baby! The only thin he needed treated was a yeast infection in
his left ear. It has already cleared up tremendously. He also did great
at home during bathtime. It a healthy, squeaky clean frenchton! Here are
a few pics of the little handsome man!

Welcome new foster Baby Daisy! She is a beautiful 8 year old girl with some digestive issues that we hope our vets will be able to fix soon.
Gale Vanselous helped with the transport and noted, "She gave me kisses throughout the car ride and is just adorable. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this sweet little girl's journey." Thank you Gale for helping her out!

Welcome Harley
So Handsome Harley (aka Double H, as I have so lovingly nicknamed him!) arrived at our home on Thursday. He is doing well, his owner, not so good. It was a difficult surrender as his owner is terminally ill. Harley is approximately 12 years old, has some hearing and some sight and is getting along wonderfully with my four Boston’s!
