Welcome New Foster Tootsie

What a cute little sweet heart. She is very unsure of her surroundings at the moment. I let her investigate the house and back yard. Now she is in her crate resting. She sat on my lap on the way home giving me kisses all the way. I'm going to let her relax while I get some yard work done more later.

Mandy is Adopted

Hi Everybody,

After a long journey this morning from 6am to 10:15am, I picked up Mandy and took her to met Erin Miller (her new mom) in Beverley NJ.

I rapidly grew fond of Mandy and considered taking a detour back to my home so I could keep her myself. She greeted me and my boyfriend Ken with several kisses and a ton of personal items to take to the new home.

I placed Mandy is the back seat and while pulling out of the parking lot she decided to be a front seat passenger rather than sit alone in the back. She sat on Ken's lap for the entire trip either looking out at the NJ scenery or napping. She is so great inside a car and you barely notice she's even there.

Erin was excited to meet Mandy a week earlier than scheduled and also got several kisses from Mandy. Given the bad weather and Erin's long trip back home to NH, we only spent around 5minutes together. I am confident that Erin will spoil Mandy and enjoy her new furry friend.

Melissa S.

Oh thank you so much Melissa!! Isn't she the sweetest?! I miss her already :(

Leslie

Leslie,  thank you so much for all you did for Mandy and for finding her the perfect forever home!  You were amazing, and truly worked wonders with her!

Polka's Transport

We just picked Polka up (thanks Holly!) and now we begin our trek to bring her to her furever home. She is a sweet snorty girl who likes sniffing out the window and giving kisses!

We made it to Harrisburg and are waiting for Polkas new family to come... For being such a good girl, I gave her one poochey chef treat :)

My final update - Polka is safe and sound with her new family. What a sweet girl she is!

Good luck Polka and thanks for letting us be part of your journey.

Katherine and Hardy

YAY, Polka!!  What a beautiful girl!  She is absolutely gorgeous! That's one lucky family and one lucky girl!  Thanks for sharing the pictures!  Thank you Katherine for volunteering to do so much of the transport, and to Holly too, and to foster Mom Elly for taking such good care of this girl!

New Foster Wade

Welcome new foster Wade!  He was picked up in New Jersey, where he was turned over to Rescue because his previous owner had died.  Here he is on the transport with Lowell Thelin, who he definitely bonded with.

He is now going to be a Pennsylvania boy at the home of Erin Sullivan.  Erin notes, " He is a big boy with lots of freckles and a long tail! He is VERY sweet and happy to go along with the program. He was VERY good in the car. He does NOT like bully sticks, but he does enjoy duck jerky.

He has a very large abnormal growth under the left side of his face. Very dense, moveable, apparently non painful, looks to have been there for some time, and there is a hairless point where it looks to meet the floor when he lays down. I gave him a bath and a thorough once over."

Erin, he's a cutey!  Thanks for helping him, and good luck!

Baby Daisy a hungry passenger!

This is Baby trying to score a donut at Dunkin Donuts while waiting for the second leg of her journey to her foster home.

Help Transport

We need people to help transport our awesome Rescues.  Here's a video to show why we do what we do, courtesy of Erin Sullivan, and all those who participated in our past transports.

 Go to your blog list
Thanks so much to Linda Vermeylen for designing these car magnets and for making them available for volunteers to display during transports.  What a great idea!
