Tucker Goes Shopping in NYC

Tucker was surrendered because his owner experienced a tragedy in her life and as a result, had to work 2 jobs, leaving Tucker at home alone 15 hours a day. Because he was stressed, he was chewing and ruining everything so those hours became crated hours.

Fast forward to a month later. He took a little while getting the hang of the city since he was from the burbs but has made tremendous progress. His moms work from home 4 days a week and tomorrow, they are moving to a new apartment with a beautiful fenced back yard for Tucker to play. He is currently supervising the purchase of air conditioners for his new home.

Tucker is Adopted

Well it's official. Tucker is now my Grand-dog. When I was asked to take him, I said to my husband- "there is something about this one that is getting to me". He had us hooked within 24 hours. I am very happy that it's my daughter that is adopting him though. I am getting too old for 3 dogs in the house.

And while I personally don't believe in signs from the grave, my Dad died in March and my family has been waiting for " a sign". As I reviewed Tucker's surrender papers after picking him up, I noticed that he had the same birthday as my dad. Who knows?

Congratulations to you and your family!! Tucker is a lucky little guy. I think that 'someone' brought you all together…. :-)

Tucker Says Thanks

Hi Everyone: Tucker here. I got a present in the mail today even if it isn't Christmas. Foster mom had to take me up to a room and lock my foster sisters out because they think everything is for them. I might share a bone or greenie but the toys are mine!

I arrived on Thursday and have been pretty much on a lap or out for walks since I got here. My foster mom says I'm lucky they are on vacation this week and I shouldn't get used to it.

Foster mom is very excited. I hear her keep saying that I remind her so much of Stella, her grand dog that died last year. Stella's moms are coming to meet me tomorrow to see what they think. They've been missing Stella so much and want to have another dog to spoil rotten. Foster mom is pretty sure they will fall in love instantly with me. And if they don't which we don't think will happen, Foster Dad says I'm going to be a failed foster- whatever than means. I think it means I'm all set.

Hello!

Thank you very much for the adoption anniversary card. Just wanted to drop everyone a quick line to let you know how Tucker and Georgie are doing.

We have had Tucker for 2 years now and Georgie for almost 1: both boys are doing great! Georgie, while initially very nervous, has really started to come out of his shell and has bonded well with our family. Daily ball playing is a must! Tucker has adjusted to having a canine brother and they have even started to play with each other, which shows that old dogs can learn new tricks! Tucker continues to learn how to make friends and be social and we are now able to take him to the dog park with very few incidents of him becoming nervous and upset.

Attached are a few pictures of the boys.

Thanks so very much!

Tucker Goes to His New Home

Tucker who was fostered by Traci Grant went to his new home. He was adopted by the Archers from Philadelphia.  Tucker is a 2 year old who loves people, and who followed his foster mom everywhere.  He has plenty of energy to go around, and loves lots of walks and exercise.

Congratulations Traci and thanks for taking such great care of Tucker. It was hard for her and her family to say goodbye but I know every foster home will agree that it is never easy and each one takes a piece of your heart. Just as important, anyone who has a adopted is forever grateful that those foster homes gave you the opportunity to bring those pups into your lives.
