Congratulations to Jack Flash, who was just adopted by the Bido family! And special thanks to Foster Mom Erin Fay for getting this handsome boy ready for his forever home. Thank you for all the love and care that you gave to Jack Flash.
A number of members have reported that their Bostons have special stuffed animal babies that they use for comfort, much like a human baby with its favorite pacifier. Below are some of the photos of these Boston babies with their babies.
Bella, Doreen Kaiser’s girl, with her baby
Rory, Ellen Thelin’s girl, with her bunny
Penny, Sara McLaughlin’s girl with her duck
Marlene also reports that “My 11 year old Boston Maggie Mae has always suckled on a duck worthy stuffed toy. She has always been very nervous and her "binkie" is the only thing that seems to calm her.
She will run around the house with it in her mouth looking for the perfect place to lay with it. It's actually very cute!”
Does your BT have a special toy?

Congratulations to Casey, who has found her forever home with Regina Young. We know that Regina will definitely spoil this darling girl! Regina offered to give love to a senior girl in need, who will be her baby.
And many thanks to foster Mom Linda Vermeylen who loved her until the perfect home was found!
1/2 gallon of Apple Cider Vinegar
1/4 c table salt
1/2 tsp Dawn liquid dish soap
Mix above ingredients in a spray bottle.
Spray weeds thoroughly.
1/2 gallon for around $6.40
Works better than Round Up - kills weeds on 1st application.
The Dawn dish soap strips the weed of its protective oils so the vinegar can work with deadly force. Safe for use in yards used by children and pets!!
Thank you Carolyn, Kamp Kanine, for the recipe
Note from Jeanne: I use distilled vinegar in place of cider vinegar.
I wanted to let everyone know the great news that Bella Boo has found her forever home. She will be loved and adored as she should be for the rest of her life. Her family the Bolaleks will be picking up their precious cargo first week of June. I will miss her terribly, but I will be keeping touch with her new family.
It was a pleasure fostering this beautiful soul!!!
Gorgeous May weather may cause your furbaby to want to be sunkissed!! This is Bella Boo (in the front), Brooke, and Jess the Boxer.
And thank you everyone for your best wishes to Bella Boo's adoption!! She is going to be a happy girl!!!
Say Hello to new foster Madden! She was pulled from a shelter in Toms River NJ, where she arrived due to no fault of her own. She is a real sweetheart, full of love for everyone. She will be fostered by Bethany Vaughan in New York City. Thank you so much Bethany for opening your heart and home to this beautiful girl! Madden gets along with other dogs and children and enjoys car rides and walks. She loves to play.
And thanks to Stacie Kyle for pulling her from the shelter and bringing her to Ellen Thelin in NJ for transport. Here are Stacie and Ellen with Maddie. Stacie notes, “What a pleasure it was to help that beautiful girl. One eyelash is white and the other one black, it made her even more stellar looking :)”
And special thanks to Andrew Davison, 3, for helping out on his first Boston transport!

Awe.....such a match made in heaven!

My first foster has arrived! Obie seems to be comfortable here. He has already found the toy box and managed to try out every toy and bone. He has met my dog briefly and they seem to be getting along well so far. I am amazed that he has so much energy, I wouldn't think that he is 9 except for the milkiness in his eyes. I look forward to getting to know him more in the following days.

Congrats Courtney! Thank you for sharing the love and for taking care of him!
Oh my sweet Flo was in such sorry shape when we got her last summer.
This picture of her really warms my heart.
She has always loved the sunshine!
We called Foster Mom Linda Vermeylen at 7:45am Saturday morning because we had gotten an unexpected last minute call from Laura at No More Tears Puppymill Rescue. Laura had gone to pick up a group of dogs the miller was "finished with" and there was a surprise Boston in the group! We had to act FAST and Linda said - I'll take him. Huge thanks to Linda and huge welcome to Junior. What a handsome and lucky boy he is!
Junior is a puppy mill boy. Linda says that he was perfect in the car on the way home. She continues. “ It was interesting to watch him explore the many things he probably never seen before. He laid in the crate most of the day and would not eat or drink anything. He was clueless as to what a treat was and wouldn't take one. Today, all by himself, he mastered the doggy door and is loving all the attention he is getting and giving kisses and wagging his tail. I told him that he has no idea how his life is going to change from this day forward!”
Linda, all his days will be filled with sunshine from here on . . .bless you and yours for opening your heart and home!

Patrizia D'Milano reports: "This is former NEBTR's puppy mill rescue, Bklyn. I adopted her last October 2012 and renamed her as Brooke. She is happy...and spoiled!!! Thank you for the great work you are doing to rescue these precious pups!!! ♥"
And thank you, Patrizia, for choosing to adopt, not shop!
Meet new foster Madden. She is 6 years old and quite the sweetheart! She will be settling in her foster home over the next few weeks
Please meet Tuxy girl. This little lady is 1 year old. She's settling nicely into her foster home, we will keep you updated!
Its inexpensive, long lasting, and works well when needed. My husband put this up in our home and since has helped many install it in their homes as well. Local Lowes and Home Depot stores sell a gliding track on ball bearings. One for the top and one for the bottom and then a simple screen door can be attached to slide back and forth. It separates pets that are still introducing, recovering from surgery or don't like each other. We also attach a grate to the bottom screen so they can't destroy the screen. They see, hear but stay separated and safe. When you don't need it simply glide it open and leave it, it's always there when needed. See our photo album under Door/Gate/Glider System
Just an FYI in case anyone needs a plan to divide!
Have a great day!

And thank you, Maria, for their happy home!
