Goldie Thanks Abbott and Emma for the Treats

Little Goldie would like to send a huge thank-you to the Burroughs, Abbott and Emma for all the yummy treats.  She had to try them right away. She now has a year's worth of treats. Thanks again.

Hope you enjoy them in good health Goldie! Merry Christmas!

NEBTR Alum Goldoe

Thought I would share. My little nebtr girl Goldie may be mostly blind, hard of hearing but at 14 there is nothing wrong with her sniffer. I dropped a treat on the floor and it rolled under the stove and before I could get it I saw her doing this.  She is a little gem, all 11 pounds of her.

Joan.

What a sweet old girl she is Joan.  Thanks for sharing.

Happy Gotcha Day Goldie

It was a year ago today that I met a gentleman who was surrendering his parents dog. I picked up this little girl to foster but knew I had fallen in love with this tiny thirteen years old peanut. Goldie you have brought so much joy to our house. Happy gotcha day.

Update on Goldie

Goldie, our little 13 tr old sweetheart, adopted from nebtr in January, loves the sunshine. I love her frog leg pose. She is an absolute gem and has added so much joy to our home. Adopting a senior is the greatest.

Beanie and Goldie Are Enjoying the Sun

Our two Nebtr former fosters, now forever loved, are enjoying the Florida sun while we are on vacation.  Beanie and Goldie are loving this. Too bad we are headed home next week.

Beanie's favorite pastime while we are here is chasing tennis balls. Nothing stops him, even if it goes into the pool.  He has fallen in twice in pursuit of a ball.

Goldie is Boss

Just thought I would share how well Goldie is doing. She was not a foster for long before we fell in love. She had healed well from her Mast cell surgery and is just full of life.  She wants to play all the time and is so sweet.  She already bosses everyone else around - a regular Napoleon complex for sure. She is a tiny little thing and brings us so much joy.

What a precious senior! One so full of spunk, too! The way I see it, Joan, you know how us seniors (well me - a senior, anyway) have come to that time in their life where they can and will say exactly what is on their mind? Goldie has fallen into that category and it's just fine! LOL...

Love your sweater Ms Goldie!!! You go with your bad self, Goldie.

A Special Christmas Gift

Thanks for all the good wishes for Goldie.  The biopsy showed a MAST cell tumor growing rapidly so it was a good thing we removed it.  Vet said clean  margins and we caught it  early so no need for anything further.  Her  mouth is definitely feeling better today  She gobbled up her   breakfast  and wanted to play.  Jerrilyn, I think you set me up on this one! LOL.  But I am glad you did.  I do not know who was more worried during her  surgery - me or my husband. I think he asked me every ten minutes if I had heard from the vet and then it was   how  soon can we go get her.  He even insisted on driving to the vet so I could hold her on the way home.

He was holding her later that night and looked at me and said - "you know we have to keep her".   but then he scolded me with " You can't bring home any more cute dogs!!!" She is home for the Holiday.   She is indeed my little Christmas gift.

I got this special Christmas gift yesterday when David said we would keep Goldie our tiny foster. He didn't want any more dogs but fell in love with her as I had already done. It would have broken my heart to give her up but I think he knew I needed her. I got my puppy in Chelsie and my tiny girl Goldie. Thanks your Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue for bringing Goldie into my life and thank you David for letting me keep her. Joan   Ontario NY

Oh that is WONDERFUL!!! I am so happy for you and Goldie and so happy she is home for the holidays! How truly lovely for all of you... Stacie

Goldie is Home for the Holidays

Well, I have to tell you - after I got home from the transport today and found the little peanut curled up right where I left her, and my hubby coming home a short time later and instead of asking how my day went - asked about Goldie.  I just looked at him and he said - You know she has to stay, neither one of us can give her up.  So, I just got my Christmas gift, and Goldie is home for the Holidays.  Thank you NEBTR for bringing the precious little girl into our lives.  She really fills the empty spot that I didn't even know was there.  Joan  Ontario NY

Ahhhh such sweet news!
What a wonderful Christmas gift from Santa!!!!!

Merry Christmas Goldie, and Joan!!! - Chris Cassner

Hehehehe!!  I saw this coming, Joan!!  And, I probably have the NEBTR and GFNJ/SEGA records for failing fostering!!
Goldie, happy trails you lucky little girl!!  You just hit the Doggie Powerball!

Goldie Says Thanks for the Bed

Goldie got home from the vet and found a package with this beautiful bed from her wish list. There was no name so we don't know who to thank. As s9n as the bed warmed up she hopped right in. She did well at the vet. Mass removed and had four very bad teeth extracted. One was so rotten it fell out in pieces. She has stitches in her mouth and on her side but was looking for her dinner tonight.  She is still a little groggy and will be sleeping a lot but I am so glad to have this little girl home.  Will keep you posted on her progress. Joan , Ontario, NY

Merry Christmas Goldie!  I hope the bed helps you feel better and stay nice and cozy while you recover. If you need anything else I will give a hint to Santa!
Luv, Ozzy (and  April)

Glad to hear she is back home safe and sound. :)
She looks fantastic in that new bed! - Chris Cassner

Goldie we are sending you prayers and good thoughts....Enjoy your new bed tonight....rest well, we hope you are feeling a bit better tomorrow! - Joyce

Goldie Thanks April Braun

A package arrived today and I knew it was for Goldie when I opened it.  She got so many things on her wish list.  She loved the new rope toy and the soft treats were a big hit. Goldie says Thank you to April Braun for all the wonderful gifts. Big sloppy Boston kisses to you April. She will be using her new leash when we go to the vet today.  Joan and Goldie, Ontario NY

You're more than welcome Goldie and Joan.  My recuse boy Ozzy sends you big Boston schmookies (his word for kisses!) Hope all goes well for her at the vet today and Happy Holidays to all of you in your home
Ozzy says Merry Woofmis to Goldie!
April and Ozzy

Goldie saw the vet today and her eye is much better so we will continue the drops.  She goes in for surgery on Monday to remove the mass we found.  Vet feel confident it will be a quick procedure and can get clean margins.  I worry about the anesthetic for are at age 12 but she is in good health so should be okay.  We can use some prayers and good thoughts for this little peanut on Monday
