More on Charlie in Her Forever Home

Charlie is doing great! She and her new sisters Pedals, Pretzell & Pikle get along perfectly. Charlie enjoys laying on her back in the warm grass with the sunshine beaming down on her. And she is quite the snuggler! We are so happy to have Charlie in our lives.

She has free run of the house and does very well for a little one whose unable to see or hear well

Update on Charlie, Erin's Foster, in Her New Home

Um yes I would like to take a moment to update you all on Charlie. Try not to cry. Try it.

Her new mom said this:

Ok thank you for the info. Charlie is doing great and has become a mamas girl already i think. She follows me everywhere lol. We love her already. Went to vets and she did wonderfully. They loved her. She's just a real joy to have. I ordered all her suplements on monday. They should be here tomorrow. Shes eating/drinking and sleeping well. Thought id let you know how she is smile emoticon ~beck~

When I told her I knew immediately it was "meant to be" she said this:

"I felt that way from the very beginning smile emoticon My husband was afraid I'd get too attached and when she leaves us at some point it'll break my heart. Too late. ....I'm already happily attached to Charlie as it should be smile emoticon and when that time comes she will be able to go with love surrounding her. ~beck~"

YEAH. That's why I have a house full of dogs. This is why we rescue. WIN WIN WIN

Charlie celebrated her 15th Birthday this week! She enjoyed a flax and sweet potato "cake" and a Blue Buffalo dental Bone. Check her out in her Birthday dress!

Adventures With Erin

Hi all! What a day! First we dropped off Charlie for her dental in Walnutport, PA. Then we drove to Easton to collect handsome NEBTR new Foster boy Duke so he could get to his foster home! He is a smallish but good looking boy, and very spry for 9 years old. He was nervous but good in his crate in the car.  Keep an eye out for this one, he's gonna go fast!

Next we met up with the wonderful and fabulous Katherine DeCotiis and her family in Union NJ where we took a quick spin around Pet smart with Duke and my Ellie.

Next we drove back to Walnutport for Charlie! Ellie is exhausted from being in the car. We are glad to be getting back home!

Good luck Duke! I'll be getting Charlie's profile ready tomorrow!

Charlie Goes to the Vet

Hi all! Just a quick update, we braved the Ice today to go to my Vet and have some bloodwork drawn in preparation for Charlie's Dental.

She was very very good, and we stopped for a piece of bacon on the way home. She is the sweetest little old lady ♡♡

More to come! I don't anticipate any issues with her tests, but given that she will soon be 15, better safe than sorry!

New Foster Charlie

Hi all! Charlie received her foster package today! Wow that was FAST! She loves the chews!

We also went to the Vet today to get all checked out. We went through her lengthy vet records and saw that she had been attacked by a dog years back, and also has survived Thyroid cancer, which she had removed last year and has been clear since then, thankfully!

She is 14, going on 15, and has the usual signs of her age,  her hearing and vision are not great, she has muscle loss in her hind quarters, cataracts, and some gum disease and tartar. Other than that, she looks great! And she is very very sweet and easy to handle :)

Mostly she enjoys napping and snacking. She doesn't mind my cats laying on her, and seems fine with the dogs, barely notices Ellie yapping at her!

I love her little gray face. She fits in perfectly here lol. More to come I am sure!
