Sammy Says Thanks

Sammy was so happy to get his package!  Thank you Stacie!   He loved the toy to death pretty quick, but he enjoyed it while it lasted. Lol.  He is really adjusting well.  He met my girl and they are peas in a pod already.  His first introduction to cats is going well too.

New Foster Sammy

My husband and I went up to Effort PA to pick up our first foster, Sammy, last Wednesday.  This is one of the sweetest little gentlemen that I have ever met. He did  display a little fear aggression when we picked him up, but we sat with the owner until she relaxed, then he did, and the next morning, he was a new man.  He is incredibly eager to please, and just wants to be in our laps whenever possible. He is walking well on the leash and only a few minor potty accidents so far that were more about marking than needing to go.

After the first few nights I decided to give him a break from crating and that seems to have him eating well again, but I will work on reintroducing the crate as a positive experience.  We will watch and see how he is when new introductions are made (we have a senior Boston girl and cats) but so far, he is just a great and wonderful little dog and has shown only friendly curiosity towards the other side of the door.

Thanks for taking in the gorgeous boy!! I am sure with all the love he will get from your family, he will slowly start to come out of his shell. so excited to hear about his progress!!
