Hi! My name is Puka and I'm a sweet and easy girl. My name used to be "Spook" before I came to NEBTR, but do I look like a ghost? No. So my foster mama changed it.
I am 7.5 years young, and looking for my furever home. I just got a clean bill of health from the vet, and am up to date on all my shots.
Basically, I am a love bug. I love humans, kids, dogs, cats, trees, couches, clouds, grass... Should I continue?
My foster mama says I have a funny walk - kind of like a crab, but I'm definitely not crabby!
I don't mean to boast, but I'm pretty sure I would be the perfect dog for any family

Pang says its OK!
Oh well, maybe it's OK after all that I came home and had to leave my brother. Foster mama tells me I can see him anytime I want. Look at me!! I think it's going to be alright everyone. We have a new home and there's lots of sun and my brother can come by anytime! #melikesun

Daisy and Marty Visit the Dolans
Chris Manzella's beagle Daisy and failed-foster BT Marty came to
visit and stay overnight with us last weekend while she and her family
attended a special family event.
They were very good pups and we all enjoyed their visit.

Louis's Eye Recheck
Well we went to Louie's recheck today, his ulcer is healing, just
very slowly, it would seem. He got a new contact, and and a refill of
pain meds, and we have a recheck in a week. Poor boy :(

Wilbur and I would like to thank Nicole and Miles and Winston for
the yummy treats! They smell great! He had a dental with 6 bad teeth
pulled and we have noticed an immediate difference. He is more

Meet Cooper, a sweet cuddle bug who’s looking for his forever home. Cooper is a healthy 6-year old surrender who has always had good medical care. He loves going for walks, rides in the car, and running in the yard. One of his favorite activities is getting a tummy rub. If he thinks he hasn’t had enough of your attention that day, he’ll come over and put his paw on your arm so you remember that he’s in need of your affection.
Even though he’s a big guy, about 27 lbs., he‘s afraid of thunder and will hide under the bed during a storm. He loves people, but not other dogs, and is leery of small children because they can be annoying not knowing how to treat a dog. He is very intelligent, trainable and housebroken.

Princess Nala is Adopted
Little Nala was adopted today by the Stauffer family. She
seems like the perfect dog for their family. I am just so happy for
her!
She went from being kept in a crate in her own filth and
neglected to being a pampered Princess sleeping wherever she wants,
guarding the neighborhood from the front window of the house and of
course getting regular manicures.
I could not be more proud of her!
Here is a pic of her in her new home enjoying her very own
tennis ball. She's always had to share her toys. Now she gets them all
to herself with two little girls who are excited to dress her up and paint her nails!
