Adoptable Pup Spotlight! VEGAS

Looking for someone to play fetch with?
Looking for someone to watch TV with you?
Looking for someone who will snuggle with you and give you kisses when you need it most?

Then look no further, I'm your lucky guy!

My name is Vegas, and I'm here to get lucky and find my forever home! I may be 7, but that's what's perfect about me.I still love to play like a young guy but I also love my napping/snuggling time too! No young kids for me, they make me nervous. I also like to be the center of attention, so a home with a submissive dog would be best. I currently live in my foster home with three other dogs (male and female) and I get along well with them!

If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application at www.nebostonrescue.org and then send us a message on here to follow up! Hope to hear from you!

xoxo,
Vegas

Boston Sweetheart

Update on Tootsie, Now Lucy

I wanted to pass along an update on Lucy (aka Tootsie) so that you could hear how she's doing and maybe pass it along to your blog people as an update.  Attached are some photos as well!

I can't believe it's been 5 months today since we picked up Lucy at your house.  She is such a friendly, sweet and happy girl!  She is certainly a wild child as well...afraid of absolutely nothing.  The complete opposite of our first Boston, Simon.  It took a bit of time, but Simon and Lucy get along pretty well.  Some days, Lucy can be quite annoying to Simon, but he puts her in her place, which is always funny to see.

Lucy did her Level 1 training class at dog school, and she did very well.  We would love to teach them both how to play flyball, but unfortunately there aren't any places near us.  But don't worry, they get plenty of play time!!

Lucy has made lots of puppy friends too!  We go play nearly every evening with our boxer friends down the road, and as the only girl, Lucy gets LOTS of attention from the boxers.  She loves to stand by the fence watching for bunnies and squirrels so she can bark and cry at them.  We also go to Boston Terrier meet ups with Boston Terrier Lehigh Valley and both Simon and Lucy love hanging out with their own kind.  Such a great group of people...if anyone wants to come out to meet ups, direct them to the Boston Terrier Lehigh Valley Facebook page.  They just had their Halloween meet up this past Sunday, and Lucy won for cutest costume as Batgirl.

We absolutely adore Lucy and are so glad we were able to bring her into our home.

Delilah in Her New Home

Delilah was adopted last week and is doing great!  Her new parents are so nice and she has an English Bulldog sister and Corgi mix brother.

I am really amazed by this girl.  She is not at all the typical puppy mill survivor. She was willing to trust and wanted to be with us, instead of being scared.  I can only imagine that she spent years wanting to be loved so badly.  She is such a sweetheart!  I miss her, but am so happy for her and her new family!

Foster Penny Update

Penny is doing great in foster care. She's the sweetest little lady in the world. She loves to be right next to her human and also can be independent in her crate. She does great left alone, with strangers, other dogs, and has been good with kids.

She loved her new foster package. The bully sticks were her favorite! She's say thank you so much!!

Penny's deaf and has only one eye. But her disabilities don't seem to stop her from being the most adorable and lovable Boston terrier. Hopefully Penny finds her forever home soon.

Cute pictures of her loving life in foster care attached :)

Grumpy Cat?

Are you familiar with Grumpy Cat?  I think Foster Remy may be practicing her Grumpy Cat impersonation for Halloween.

Becky Says Thanks

Becky has been with us for a little more than a week now.

She has been seen by the vet, and the internal medicine vet specialist, where she had an abdominal ultrasound.  Her blood work was not remarkable.   Her liver is enlarged, but there is no definitive diagnosis, so we are watching her.  Her belly is very distended, and at times seems very uncomfortable.  BUT she eats like a Boston, and is drinking normally.

Its hard to imagine that she would have spent her last days or hours in a kill shelter, when I see how sweet she is.  She lets us know when she has to go out, and comes in and rests.

She received a package from NEBTR with a toy and some chewies.

I've attached some photos to say thanks to everyone who has donated to her, and for all of the positive thoughts that have been sent her way.

Diary of Brooklyn's First Days

Brooklyn, the five month old foster, arrived this morning.  She and my girl Abigail became instant buddies, haven't stopped playing since they met, inseparable.  Brooklyn's mom had not had a dog before; she quickly realized that puppies need a lot more time and attention than she could provide so she surrendered her to us, very wise woman. Drove all the way up from New Jersey to make sure she is in a good place. Brooklyn is adorable, loving, sweet, mostly housebroken, loves to give kisses, non-barker, and gorgeous.  She is an absolute charmer and, as you can see from her picture, gorgeous.  Very well cared for, fully vetted, just needs to be spayed.

Her mom sent her with supplies for a lifetime: two crates, playpen, gate, toys, treats, coat, bed, food, bowls, etc, so much that I had to store a lot of things in the basement.

Day 2 with the new foster puppy, Brooklyn.  She and Abigail, my three year old girl with a puppy mind, fell in love the minute they laid eyes on each other, playing, cuddling, kissing, they can't seem to get enough of each other.  I have never seen my Abigail respond so instantly and happily to another dog, including puppies in the neighborhood.  She even lets Brooklyn steal her toys, possessions she doesn't like to share with anyone.

Because Abigail always sleeps with me, Brooklyn was in bed with me too, slight accident so into the washing machine goes the bed cover, at least she didn't hit the electric blanket LOL
I'm wondering when they'll just collapse into a heap of exhaustion, they don't want to stop running through the house and playing with pull toys, though Abigail did hide in her crate for a brief nap until Brooklyn brought a toy to her.

Brooklyn is so darn cute and funny, I'm so glad her owners realized they couldn't handle a puppy and turned her over to us; it's obvious that she was very well cared for and her family wanted the best for her.  It will be very hard for Abigail and me to part with her.

Day 3 of puppy madness! I think both foster puppy Brooklyn and my redhead Abigail are finally starting to tire after running non-stop through the first floor and back patio. Wrestling in bed for half an hour or so until Abigail crawled under the blanket to escape, but around 3:00 in the morning, Brooklyn decided it was again play time, proceeding to start another match, much to the chagrin of Abigail and me. I guess we need to keep puppy hours... LOL
