Rosie Goes to the Rainbow Bridge

Rosie came back home last weekend. It became very clear to me that her health has declined over the last 3 month. Rosie suffered from multiple issues. IBD, losing protein in her stool, a slow growing brain tumor that started causing seizures.

It seemed my last gift to Rosie was to let her go.
Rosie went to the bridge at 1:15 yesterday. I miss her so much.

She was a true Boston lady.
I know she met up with my boxer babies up there. I also know our sweet Dobby met her to play

Rosie, I love you. You brought nothing but smiles and love into my love. Run free sweet angel. You can now see again. You can eat what you want. You truly earned your wings. Play fetch and tug a war. You love it so. I will see you again and kiss your sweet face. Until then

Conny

I'm so very sorry for your loss, Conny. From Rosie's photos and your description of her, I know she was a beautiful and bubbly Boston Terrier and know why your loved her! Know that she was incredibly fortunate to have you to take care of her and that she'll remain in your heart. - Debbie

I am so very sorry for your loss, Conny. Rosie was lucky to have had you in her life. Your memories of Rosie will help you through this difficult time.

Rest in peace sweet Rosie girl. - Joyce

My heart aches for your loss Conny. I'm so sorry. I lost my sweet rescue pug Molly only 4 weeks ago and I know how painful it is. I've asked molly to share all the treats and sweets with your Rosie :) know that she is at peace now and lived a life full of love. You'll see her again someday <3

Madonna of the Mills

Laura Guyer Rieger is known as "The Madonna of the Mills." She makes it her mission to rescue dogs from the puppy mills of Pennsylvania. Laura and her work, through her rescue No More Tears Rescue, have been featured on a HBO show, called "Madonna of the Mills." Her inspiring life and work on behalf of all the voiceless pups are now on view for the world to see. NEBTR is privileged in having been able to work with Laura. She pulled Rosie from a mill, and Rosie was fostered by Tammy Trivelpiece until her forever home was found. Most recently, she was involved in the rescue of 20 dogs from West Virginia, of which several were Bostons now in the care of NEBTR. LuLu is now in Renee Posey's foster home after being first cared for by Carolyn McCarthy of Kamp Kanine, and Sweety is with Elly Monfett.

Laura says about NEBTR, "Thank you guys for always helping us out with the Mill dogs, you never ever say no. I am so proud to work with your rescue! NMTR"

God bless Laura and her work!

Foster Rosie

Hi! my name is Rosie and I am estimated to be around 3 years old!

I love my name! My Foster sister gave me that name. See, I never had a name. I lived in a wire cage all my life and was used to produce puppies. Now I am free and loving every minute of it! My foster mom says I am very smart. I go potty outside, watch all my foster fur brothers and sisters do their thing so I do it too. I do sleep in a comfy crate, and I love to be held by my foster family. Because I am a puppy mill dog, I do need some extra care and love. Sometimes I do not understand things and get very scared. But, I am willing to watch and learn. I love dogs and people and just an all around great girl. I am ready to be the best pet I can be! I am eager and ready to please!!!

Her foster mom Tammy Trivelpiece says, "What a dog! I have never quite had a mill dog like Rosie. She is a nut! Loves ice cubes! its like watching 'boston Hockey'. She will bat one around for a long time before trying to eat it. She loves rope toys, and paper towel rolls. She is a quick learner and adapts to her surroundings without much anxiety." Tammy just loves Rosie to pieces!

BFFS - Macie and Rosie

Had to share these photos of Rosie and our Chihuahua, Macie. They are BFFs... never too far apart from one another, or from my husband. Rosie loves to sit behind him on the couch. :-)
