Happy Gotcha Day Spot
One year ago today we pulled this injured, scared, hurting, urgent "stray" from the Brooklyn ACC shelter.
After lots of medical care, treatments, and loving, today we have the most faithful, loving, sweet, amazing boy. Thank you NEBTR for making successes like these possible!
For new baby Gabriel, I hate to see him with such a similar story... This time next year, I look forward to seeing your smiling face in your new life, too.

Baby Gabriel Has a Ruptured Eye
NEBTR got an urgent call from a man tonight in the Bronx.
A stray was found a week ago. The man that found him thought he had an eye infection so he was treating it with drops.
The eye ruptured.
It was hanging out of the socket when he called the shelter, and they said the dog would likely be put down.
NEBTR went and picked up the puppy and rushed him to the ER.
Jerrilyn is now in the waiting room.
She named him Gabriel and she says he can't be more than 9 lbs.
Very tiny, eye protruding out of the socket - she is certain they will remove it.
His other eye is also badly damaged and may lose that one as well.
He looks a mere 3-4 months old.
A very rough start in life for this tiny man.
Please help Gabriel get the ophthalmology care he desperately needs. He is just a baby!

Sweet little Abby had a busy week this week. She turned 7 AND got adopted!
Update After Ozzy's Eye Removal
He had a rough couple days. He was admitted to the emergency vet for a very high temperature. He was then transferred to the eye specialist in the morning once they stabilized him for further evaluation of his eye.
He had a lot of swelling (more than normal with eye removals) and he had a lot of bloody discharge from his nose and mouth that was causing him to cough and sneeze it up.
But I am happy to say that today the discharge has stopped, he is regaining his appetite and the swelling is gradually going down. Ozzy is regaining some energy too. He wanted to sit outside on the porch with me today and smell the fresh air. Through it all he remained a happy little man - giving me butt wiggles whenever he saw me.

CeeCee is Adopted
CeeCee arrived at her forever home yesterday. When she got there she
discovered all the things her forever mom purchased just for her.
Two beds, one upstairs one down, a pool to cool off in, and a bag of toys!
She took to her new yard, her new bed and especially to her new mom
right away.
One lucky little dog for sure! xoxox
