New Foster Obie

My first foster has arrived! Obie seems to be comfortable here. He has already found the toy box and managed to try out every toy and bone. He has met my dog briefly and they seem to be getting along well so far. I am amazed that he has so much energy, I wouldn't think that he is 9 except for the milkiness in his eyes. I look forward to getting to know him more in the following days.

Congrats Courtney! Thank you for sharing the love and for taking care of him!

Happy Spring from Flo

Flo 2013
Oh my sweet Flo was in such sorry shape when we got her last summer.
This picture of her really warms my heart.
She has always loved the sunshine!
Jerrilyn Walter

This is great for blind pups who have a heightened sense of smell, like sweet Flo!

And here is Flo being hugged by her foster Mom Jerrilyn!

We called Foster Mom Linda Vermeylen at 7:45am Saturday morning because we had gotten an unexpected last minute call from Laura at No More Tears Puppymill Rescue. Laura had gone to pick up a group of dogs the miller was "finished with" and there was a surprise Boston in the group! We had to act FAST and Linda said - I'll take him. Huge thanks to Linda and huge welcome to Junior. What a handsome and lucky boy he is!
Junior is a puppy mill boy.  Linda says that he was perfect in the car on the way home. She continues. “ It was interesting to watch him explore the many things he probably never seen before.  He laid in the crate most of the day and would not eat or drink anything.  He was clueless as to what a treat was and wouldn't take one.  Today, all by himself, he mastered the doggy door and is loving all the attention he is getting and giving kisses and wagging his tail.  I told him that he has no idea how his life is going to change from this day forward!”
Linda, all his days will be filled with sunshine from here on . . .bless you and yours for opening your heart and home!

Meet new foster Madden. She is 6 years old and quite the sweetheart! She will be settling in her foster home over the next few weeks

Please meet new foster Daisy. Keep Daisy in your thoughts. She is a senior girl and has quite a few tumors that need checked out. We will keep you updated over the next few weeks.

Please meet Tuxy girl. This little lady is 1 year old. She's settling nicely into her foster home, we will keep you updated!

Easy Room Divider

Its inexpensive, long lasting, and works well when needed. My husband put this up in our home and since has helped many install it in their homes as well. Local Lowes and Home Depot stores sell a gliding track on ball bearings. One for the top and one for the bottom and then a simple screen door can be attached to slide back and forth. It separates pets that are still introducing, recovering from surgery or don't like each other. We also attach a grate to the bottom screen so they can't destroy the screen. They see, hear but stay separated and safe. When you don't need it simply glide it open and leave it, it's always there when needed. See our photo album under Door/Gate/Glider System
Just an FYI in case anyone needs a plan to divide!
Have a great day!

Tilly Has A Forever Home

tilly1

tilly2

Tilly has a forever home with her Foster Mom Sharon Davidson.  Tilly loves her home so much that she has decided to make it permanent.  Sharon feels it would be best for Tilly to stay with her, where she's been for a year now.  I think if Tilly could talk she would have told Sharon long ago that she wants to stay with her!
Tilly is 5 years old and was rescued from a breeding kennel outside of Lancaster, PA. She was your typical puppy mill dog and came to her foster home nameless, filthy, petrified and would panic if anyone approached her. Oh how far Tilly has come!!! She made a complete 180 and learned that life as a pet can be wonderful. Thanks to all the hard work and patience of her foster mom Tilly has gained trust and has morphed into a sweet and loving little girl. She may be 5 but she has a lot of puppy in her but it is wonderful to see because she was not able to be a puppy. Now it is her time to play!
Thanks to Sharon for all that she has done for this girl!

Hello, Thanks for the anniversary card!

Spunky is doing great!  He is a wonderful member of our family!  He is healthy and happy.  Great with the kids and so much fun.

Our older dog just passed away , so we may be looking for a new friend for him if one is in need of adoption in our area some time.

Thanks

Update on Zackie

I spoke with Zackie's new Mom this morning and she reports he has settled in nicely.  She takes him almost everywhere she goes, he follows her all around the house and cries when she leaves without him.  He is getting so much love, I'm just so happy for him.
