Update on Quincy Knickerbocker

Hi! I received your "Anniversary" card for our 3 year anniversary with Quincy. Our life with Quincy is very rewarding, but it has not been easy. The first year he had terrible eye issues, ulcers and such, but we have a fabulous vet who tried different things and his eyes are now healthy. He also had very very bad teeth, so after a dental and several teeth pulled his mouth is better also. Potty training was tough, but our other Boston Sammy and Corgi Rocky helped with that and showed him where to go. Now we have few accidents inside, but he is showing his dominance with Rocky, and we are now working to correct the spotting the 2 boys are doing. A year ago Quincy learned to run...and I mean run! We take him to the park (converted airstrip) and he just runs and runs and I swear he has a smile on his face. Unfortuately his running this past weekend got him into some trouble and he broke his foot. Probably just twisted it right. He is now in a splint for 6 weeks. Thank God we have a fabulous vet! It has taken the wind out of his sail, but he is getting use to his purple boot, and revving up to run again. We enjoy Quincy very much and he loves his boston sister Sammy, but not so much Rocky. He loves to sleep on the couch. He does not sleep in bed with us as he snores so loud I think the neighbor's windows rattle! I am not sorry one bit that I rescued him and would not hesitate to rescue again. Thank you so much for what you do. I wish I could do more for the rescue, but right now have hands full with the 3 dogs. I follow on Facebook too. Karen Knickerbocker
