July 2 Puppies

The puppies really are gaining weight.  Five days old and they are doing just great.  Velvet (momma dog), got a chance to get outside for awhile today.  She was happy to have a break.
So along with the photos of the pups, we also have some Velvet photos for you to view.  She is a real sweetheart, with a big wide smile.

Birdie, Formerly Dottie, is Enjoying Life

Just wanted to share an update on Dottie now Birdie Shortway.  Sounds like she is loving life!

Our Miss Birdie (on the left) joined our family one and a half years ago. It was a little bit of a rocky start, she was a wild girl, unsure of her place in our family and it was the middle of winter. With lots of love, reassurance and patience (and spring!) she grew more comfortable and started to feel safe and secure.  She definitely keeps us moving and entertained. She knows her toys by name and loves to play with her brother Smidge who, by the way, is basking in his big brother status.  She loves t o play High Five, chase her ball and frisbee, and go for walks and runs. We swam a little last summer and we'll go again this year. She absolutely loves to be outside. We are all madly in love with her and are so lucky that she found us. Thank you Wendy and Verne and NEBT!

Vic is Living the Dream

Remember Vic? He was adopted last winter. Well it's summer now and
he's got a POOL.

Fudgey Gets a Present

Fudgey hit the jackpot today when the mailman came. And it wasn't even his birthday. He asked me to thank everyone since he is too busy himself chomping on one of his new bones.

Puppy Photos for Today

Velvet dined on scrambled eggs cooked in coconut oil, ground turkey,
kibble, yogurt, cheese medley. :)
As of 5pm they all turned FIVE DAYS OLD. :)

Louie's Got Mail

Hi everyone! Louie got some mail today! People as far away as Scotland are looking out for him and sending him well wishes :D It's amazing!

He got three tube of his night time eye ointment (he will need it for life) and Himalayan chews! Hopefully that'll keep him busy for a bit while I repaint the kitchen doors again (oh those darn doggy scratch marks!)

New Fosters Byron and Baxter

Baxter and Byron are at Club Stapleton.
We have really enjoyed the day with these sexy seniors. They are pretty laid back guys who just like hanging around. They have enjoyed some bones and PB and also several dips in the doggie pool.trying to just keep them stress free and lazy especially on such a warm day.

July 4 Reminder

New Foster Lily Update

Lily has successfully made it to her foster home in Allentown, Pennsylvania with her foster sister Coco. Im very thankful for everyone's help with her transport! She's still very shy and hesitant about everything. Staying close by my side and hiding behind me when necessary. I'll continue to give updates on her progress. Now just enjoy some pictures!

On another note I am very very happy and impressed with how well Coco is behaving with her!! I think she senses how scared she is and how much love she needs :)

T Loves His Walk

T went for a walk yesterday and he found a corn field. VERY exciting
smells in corn fields evidently. lol
He has become the most loving dog. He's got that puppy quality, but is
so eager to please at the same time. He's WONDERFUL.
