Our deepest sympathy to Laura Carey, who lost Ellie on December 31. Ellie was adopted in February of 2011. Jodi Groff was her loving foster mom.
Laura writes, "I know this isn't the happiest news for the new year, but I had to have Ellie put to sleep this am. Her kidneys were pretty much shot, and she was going downhill fast. I want to thank you for the 3 wonderful years I got to have with this special little girl. She brought me so much love and laughter in the short time I had her, and I wouldn't trade it for the world
