Happy Easter From Sadie

A while ago I reached out for me information on mass cell tumors and doctors. I received so much awesome information I felt compelled to give an update on   Sadie. (member dog)

Sadie (7 y/o) had an ugly mass cell tumor that was cancerous right next to her anus. My vet told me to find a specialist because it didn't look good (should they operate and touch the anus, there would be no way for it to heal). At best, we were told it would not be extracted with clean margins.

I got the article about reducing mass cell tumors with Benadryl and Tagamet, it was floating around here so you may know what I'm talking about. I gave her the suggested dosage for 2 weeks prior to her surgery. The tumor shank so much that you could hardly see it. The day I took her to talk to the doctor and get the scan, they found 3 more tumors up her leg. The good news was that the surgeon thought he could definitely get clean margin around the anus.

The doctor was a Boston lover and owned 2 herself. She asked me just to leave Sadie and they would operate in the morning. When I got the call, I was told she was doing well, the surgeon "was very close and saw all the muscle and ligaments surrounding the anus" but was able to avoid touching anything AND removing the tumor.

Sadie would NOT let us take a picture of her "boo-boo" - she is shaved all over her butt and down one leg, hence she picked up the nickname - MonkeyButt.
Every time I went to take a picture of her stitches (there were a lot), she would sit down. So I figured she wanted her dignity.

I have attached a picture of my beautiful healthy little girl who was kind enough to let me take a picture of her in her bun ny ears. Sadie and I say to everyone Happy Easter, Happy Passover and just Happy.

Thank you guys
Stacie
