New Foster Baby

Thank you so much for opening your home to Baby, Jamal and Stacy Ahmad.  She certainly has been through a very rough time.  It was September when we first heard about her in the WV shelter when another rescue group said they would take her.  When Jerrilyn followed up several weeks later, she found that Baby was still at the shelter and then said NEBTR would take her.  Transport was on and off because of weather, so poor Baby spent too much time there.  It had to have been very stressful for her and, you are right, she will need some time to decompress and learn her new routine, and the important thing is trust - just as you said.

Here are some notes from the Shelter that we had in the early stages of trying to get Baby....9-10 yo female whose owner went into a nursing home. Son said if they didn't take her he would just open the door and let her out. She is currently in a rescue type shelter. She is affectionate but does not like being picked up (afraid) and has some food aggression, otherwise she is good. Lively and playful for her age. She is spayed and UTD. She has a favorite toy she just loves that she has had since she was a puppy.

Our own Bulldog, Jerrilyn, was tireless in getting her to safety.  Another great job, Jerrilyn.
