Meet Omar and Zoey

Hi everyone, Omar & Zoey here. We are the two Bulldog mixes that were emaciated and abandoned in the Bronx, NY. We were placed against a building in a box where a nice police officer rescued us and brought us to the shelter. The nice people from Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue took us into foster care back in October, 2014.

It's been a long haul but we needed a lost of medical care & food due to our neglect. We are now spayed, neutered, healthy and are ready to be adopted.

Me Zoey, I'm the female and I weigh 33 lbs. Me Omar, I'm the male and I weigh 28 lbs. No one knows for sure if we are liter mates but we don't care, we love each other. Also, we are very young, about a year old. Although we have different personalities, we balance each other and really would like a new forever home together since we survived our horrific beginning together.

Since we are young and require more training, perhaps a family with no small children and no dogs nor cats would be best. We are still in the learning process so a calm & structured household would be best for us.

We will require a family who has the time, patience and dedication to continue the training that our foster mom started. We had to learn everything from house training to not chewing anything except our toys. We need to continue learning what it is to be a pet and enjoy the companionship of a family. We are learning so much every day and enjoying life and just pleasing our foster mom.

We need exercise which would include to play outside and walk on a leash. You know the typical things dogs do. At the end of the day, we would love to cuddle on the couch and watch a movie with you. We are even tempered and even though we were neglected at the beginning, we hold no grudges. We are just thriving on attention and never want it to end.

If you have any questions about us, you are more than welcome to ask our foster mom Linda Antonelli. Her email address is dollytoots@optonline.net.

Omar & Zoey are currently being fostered in Bay Shore, NY and their adoption fee will be $300.00.

We require an application, phone interview and homecheck. To see our application process before applying, visit our Petfinder shelter information page or visit www.nebostonrescue.org. You can also complete our online application on our website.
