More on Chief Charlie

Now Chief is a full two weeks here but we haven't managed integration with the residents. They're closer now but still wary. If one resident and Chief go on lease walks, things look okay. If both residents go, it turns into chaos. The residents are spoiled beyond belief and get whiney and all the excitement is just counter productive. So today consisted of dynamic duo walking which allows for some interaction and a little touchy sniffy. Also managed individual yard time for fetch exercise. Both of the residents and Chief are toy possessive so anytime they are pseudo mingling we have to insure that no toys are visible.

Today was bath day. The yard is still in spring condition here but the weather today is warm. A three dog bath marathon is quite interesting. Chief was all shivers but cooperative and when it was over, it was as if it never happened. I think that was pretty good.  His coat is starting to look a little better since his diet has changed and Tuesday is his vet appointment. From the look of his records, he had a barrage of vaccinations in December and was neutered the following day with  boosters following in January. I have to get my little baggie ready for the fecal test and if heartworm comes back negative as I suspect it will, he'll get started on Heartguard.

Onward we go.
