So we picked Yoda up about a week and a half ago, he was surrendered
by his owners after having been bounced around from home to home, through no fault of his own, and he
is starting to relax a bit and trust us. He is a very sweet little
dog, but is understandably nervous-. He gets along great with the
other dogs, although was a bit dominant in the beginning. He needs some
work on potty training still, although he has gotten better in this
last week, he will probably still need some work in his adoptive home
and I am sure will improve with stability and routine. He loves chasing shadows or light on
the wall, but he doesn't seem to want to play much with any of the other
dog toys.
We are starting to
see his true personality a bit-he is pretty quiet until someone comes
home and he gets excited, he loves to curl up on our laps (where he is
at the moment making it real easy to type this!), he is slightly
mischievious, definitely a snorter but not a snorer, does great with the
other dogs, knows-sit, shake, down, roll over (although this is more of
a standing spin lol), does great in the car, loves to explore the yard
(he had a bad experience with an invisible fence, so a solid fence is
recommended) and I think he would do best with older children.
