Zoey is Adopted

It was Zoey's one year anninversary in foster care and she was adopted!
What an Incredible Weekend! Finally - our Zoey get adopted!!
Last year, this very weekend, a NYC police officer found 2 feral and sick dogs in a box in the Bronx and took them to a shelter - but she also contacted NEBTR about the "boston mixes" that were just dropped off at the shelter. We wasted no time in picking them up and we thank Marika, the police officer who found them, for contacting us.
They were named Omar and Zoey and although adorable - maybe not BT's but very worthy of rescue. Omar was adopted about 6 months ago and today Zoey found her forever home.
To mark this wonderous occasion, Marika and her children came to see Zoey go to her new home and Omar and his family came to say goodbye and good luck.
Pics attached: Linda - our volunteer who who fostered Omar and Zoey is shaking hands with Marika; Marika and her children with both Omar and Zoey; Jess and Sheri (Zoey's new forever family) and Linda with Zoey.
Wow this was a big day. Thank you to several of our foster volunteers, Linda, Marika, Jess and Sheri (Zoey's parents) and Catalina and Victor (Omar's family)

Special thanks to Linda Antonelli for loving this girl and for finding the perfect home for her!

Yay! for Zoey and Omar!! Thank you to all who had a hand in helping these 2 learn manners, learn to trust people again and thank you for finding both a good home.

The old saying "Where's a police officer when you need one" shows that a police officer is just around the corner and doesn't only help people they save animals as well. - Joyce
