Little Kirby is very sick.
Kirby was called "Dip Stick" and left at a local shelter last week, very
thin, testing positive for Parvo and Mange at the young age of 9 months. NEBTR volunteers picked this little guy up and rushed him to the
hospital.
The doctor feels that he is now
beginning to feel the effects of the Parvo. That means he will need
intravenous medicines and fluids because he isn't keeping them down with vomiting.
There is no way of predicting how Kirby is going to respond to treatment. The doctor explained that dogs have come in on death's door, and survived. Others that were glowing with health until the Parvo set in succumbed to the disease.
NEBTR wants to give this little man a new start. A new name, Kirby, and a healthy sound body. Please help us get Kirby started on the road to a new and better life.
