Permanent New Foster Tommy

Tommy, age 14, was surrendered by his family to a shelter because he was too old. Janice and Ray Boyer rescued him, and took him to their vet.

The news was not good for Tommy. He does have a stage 4 heart murmur, but no congestive heart failure. His teeth are a total disaster and the smell actually radiates into the room. There is some pain there, but the vet said to treat the teeth could cause his heart to fail. Plus, the vet thought he had a brain tumor. Tommy basically walks in circles tilting to the left. His left eye has a very very slight bulge which could be the pressure of a tumor.

He was sweet in the bath tub and was very agreeable at the doctor's.

On the plus side, he has a good appetite and is a very sweet boy. He was and is a handsome little man.

He will now live the rest of his life, loved and spoiled, with foster mom Carolyn McCarthy and foster dad Mark Barish. You can tell that he is already well loved!

Some angels are UP in heaven, but others like YOU are here on earth. Thank you for all that you do to lessen the suffering of those older dogs with "special needs". Thank you for being "braver" than most of us!!!
